"Ah, your ex-wife," Joe mused, "Most likely. And she's probably been plotting with her other daughters—Reggie, Kate, Marie, Emma, Karen, and Ava—whatever their names are, on how to confront Athena about none of them being invited!"

"How do you know they weren't there?" Steven asked.

"Because if you notice," Joe added, pulling up more wedding pictures, "They are in none of these pictures."

"I need to call Nicole," Steven sighed, pulling out his phone.

Nicole's voice came through the phone speaker, sharp and accusatory, "What do you want, Steven?"

Steven hesitated for a moment, trying to gather his thoughts amidst the whirlwind of emotions and revelations that had just come to light.

"Nicole, have you seen the news about Athena?" he asked tentatively.

"Of course I have!" she retorted sharply, "What kind of father are you, Steven? All this drama with Michael Jackson, Lisa Marie Presley, Liam Barlowe.....and our daughter in the middle of it all! And none of us were even invited to her wedding! How dare she exclude us like this?!"

Steven took a deep breath, trying to remain calm in the face of Nicole's anger, "Nicole, listen to me," he began, "This is a lot to process for all of us. Athena has been through so much with Liam, and now she's found happiness with Michael. We should be happy for her."

Nicole only scoffed, "She should have at least invited us, as her parents."

"Well, I was invited," Steven retorted, a subtle diss in his voice, "But I didn't realize because the invitation was buried in with all my mail. I just found it."

"Michael treated her like a queen. He gave her a crown," Joe remarked, pointing at one of the wedding photos in disbelief, "I've never seen anything like this before. He really adores her."

"He gave her a CROWN?!" Nicole screeched from her end of the phone, "Like an ACTUAL CROWN?!"

"Yes, a real crown," Steven reiterated, feeling a surge of protectiveness over his daughter, "Athena deserves to be treated like royalty after everything she's been through. Michael is good for her, Nicole. He loves her and takes care of her."

Nicole's voice dripped with disdain, "Well, you seem to be quite the expert on your daughter's love life now, aren't you? Maybe you should've paid more attention when she was just a girl, instead of letting Liam take advantage of her! And now she's married to Michael Jackson, and none of us were even there to celebrate with her. How do you know he's good for her?! You've never met him!"

Steven winced at Nicole's words, feeling the weight of his past mistakes pressing down on him. "I know I wasn't there for Athena like I should have been," he admitted quietly, "But you have to remember, Nicole, we both signed that paper. We both subjected her to that abusive marriage. It wasn't just me—it was you too! And you pushed me into it! You said that if I signed that paper, you would sign our divorce papers and leave me alone. But you never did!" he grumbled, "And not only that, but the second Liam was legally married to her, we never saw her again! Only on the news. I fully blame you!" he groaned, "I signed the paper, yes, but I didn't know what it was until it was too late! You refused to disclose the details of what it was!"
