"If you really send a woman to Lisa's side, don't blame me for cutting off all relations with you guys."
Her words were not threatening. In fact, she spoke to them with a smile.
However, Chongshan and Ye Yunzhi understood that she was absolutely serious.
"Lisa is head over heels in love with you. We had thought you could advise him to have a child with someone else." Ye Yunzhi shook her head. "It seems like you won't help us them."
Jennie smiled mockingly. "Mother-in-law, if you had been unable to have a child yourself, would you have advised your husband to have a child with someone else?"
"I..." She absolutely would not. How could she possibly give her own husband to someone else! Ye Yunzhi was left speechless.
"Looking at your expression, it seems like you would be unwilling." Jennie spoke coldly and indifferently. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto yourself. I'm sure you don't need me to teach you something as simple as this."
"Jenjen, she is your mother-in-law! How could you speak to an elder like this!" Elder Chongshan reprimanded harshly.
Before Jennie could respond, a man spoke up coldly. "Do you think you're acting like elders right now?!"
The three of them turned towards the entrance and watched as Lisa stepped into the living room. He had been the one to speak up earlier.
Following his appearance, the living room seemed to turn several degrees colder. His aura became threatening as well.
Chongshan and Ye Yunzhi immediately appeared like children who had made mistakes. They did not dare to speak up again.
They came today because they knew Lisa had gone to work. Why did he return?
Jennie stood up from the couch and approached Lisa. "Didn't you leave to the company?"
Lisa's frigid gaze landed on Chongshan and Ye Yunzhi. Both of them sat stiffly as they felt an invisible pressing down on them.
"The elders have made a mistake. I naturally should be here to handle this matter." Lisa lifted his hand and caressed Jennie's hair gently.
From his words, it was clear he had overheard their conversation from earlier.
"What do you mean by a mistake?" Chongshan was angry. "I'm doing this for the Manoban family's future."
"The Manoban family has strict rules and has never liked complicated, messy relationships." Lisa narrowed his eyes. "Grandfather, you once said that in the Manoban family, it would be the highest insult for a man to be with another woman while he was still married to one. How could you come up with the thought of handing me another woman? Of course, that is your wishful thinking."
He gently tucked Jennie's hair behind her ear. "I've said this before, but I absolutely won't touch any other woman besides Jennie."
"You..." Elder Manoban stood up in anger. "I don't wish to do this either. But the Manoban family needs a successor!"
"In that case, let me tell you honestly." Lisa was expressionless. "Aside from Jennie, I've never felt the desire for any other women. Just the thought of touching someone else leaves me disgusted."
"That's impossible..." Although Chongshan said so, he also understood that Lisa had never glanced at any other women since he was young.
"It's the truth." Lisa brought Jennie into his arms and guided her towards the couch to sit down.
He then made a 'please' gesture to Elder Chongshan. "Grandfather, please sit down."
He then turned to Ye Yunzhi. "Mother, you as well.. I have something to discuss with the both of you."
