He brought her with him as they snuck between several apartments and arrived at the one where Mark had left the marking. His marking indicated that he had headed up the mountain.

In order to climb up the mountain, they needed to cross the road.

Lisa lifted the binoculars and scanned their surroundings. He did not immediately head across the road.

He needed to ensure that they would not be killed by anyone hiding in ambush.

"Help... me!" A young, beautiful woman with asian features cried for help as she ran down the street. Bullets were following her.

Finally, the opportunity was here!

Lisa was not interested in killing anyone, nor was he interested in saving anyone.

However, with that woman acting as a distraction, he was able to bring Jennie with him as they quickly ran across the street.

They safely arrived before the mountain. There was a large and thick forest right behind it.

The two of them hid in the thick bushes and slowly made their way forward.

They needed to prioritize their own safety.

Ahead, there were four individuals engaged in battle. They were running while firing bullets at each other.

Lisa and Jennie waited till these people were some distance away from them.

They found more markings that Mark had left behind on a nearby tree.

They followed his markings and headed forward.

On their way, Lisa checked the phone he had found every so often. However, there wasn't any signal till nowl.

Every so often, they would find a corpse lying here and there. All the valuables on the corpses had already been looted.

Jennie frowned and asked softly. "Hubby, what on earth is going on here? Why does it appear so similar to the game of which I've been playing?"

"This isn't a game." Lisa's expression was serious. "We'll die if we get shot."

"I know." She was simply confused by their circumstances.

These people fired the moment they saw someone. Although they wanted to ask questions, there was no one they could ask.

They followed Mark's marking and carefully left the forest. They headed into an abandoned workshop.

Lisa and Jennie decided to rest in the workshop's office for a while.

Lisa brought two pieces of bread out from his backpack and shared it with Jennie. They shared a bottle of water afterwards.

Five minutes later, a foreign man was suddenly seen pursuing a woman while firing bullets at her.

"Help me!" The woman cried out in English as she ran into the abandoned workshop.

This was clearly the woman they had encountered earlier in the abandoned town.

They did not expect her to survive.

The foreign man glanced up and found Lisa and Jennie in the office. He immediately directed his gun at them.

Lisa was much faster than him though. He raised his gun and aimed it straight at the man's head, taking his life in a split second.

His movements were clean, without the slightest hesitation.

The woman immediately ran towards them. Just as Lisa pointed his gun directly at her, she hurriedly lifted her hands in surrender. She said in English, "Don't fire the gun! I don't have any bad intentions!"

She took a proper look at Lisa and her eyes lit up. She spoke in Chinese excitedly. "You're Lisa Manoban!"

"You know me?" Lisa frowned as he shot her an indifferent look. "I'm certain I don't know you."

"You're the one and only Sheng Shi Group's CEO, Lisa Manoban!" The woman's gaze was heated as she stared fixedly at his handsome features. "Although you don't know me, I've often seen news articles related to you. I'm Dai Weian. I'm a news reporter. I previously wanted to interview you but it's a pity you rejected my request. I come from the same country and city as you do. I truly did not expect to meet you here!"

But Lisa did not let his guard down.. "What on earth is this place? Why are the people here after each other's lives?"
