"It might not be safe. Let's observe the situation first." Lisa brought her to the second floor. They stood with their backs against the wall and glanced out of the broken windows towards the harbor.
Their boat was right by the shore.
All of a sudden, a young man with dark skin tone jumped onto the boat and began rowing with all his might.
However, he only managed to travel around thirty meters before a grenade was tossed in his direction.
With a loud noise, the whole area was engulfed in flames. The young man was blown up along with the boat.
The remnant pieces of the boat as well as his corpse floated against the surface of the water.
The ocean was dyed red for several moments before the color faded away.
The only boat they could have used to leave this place was ruined.
"It seems like we aren't the only people who wish to leave this place." Jennie concluded with some regret.
"There are ambushes hidden everywhere." Lisa glanced at his wife. "You have to follow me closely. We can't separate."
"Alright." She appeared unfazed.
Lisa glanced at her composed expression. "Aren't you afraid?"
"There's nothing for me to be afraid of, with you around," she responded.
He enjoyed hearing these words very much. He swore internally that he would use his life to ensure her safety.
They headed to the rooftop on the third floor and squatted by the cement fence.
Through the gaps beneath two apartments ahead, they watched two foreign men shoot a woman with Asian features. Then, they snatched her gun and snuck into one of the nearby homes.
Lisa and Jennie immediately understood the situation. The people who appeared here would kill anyone they saw.
They truly did not understand the reason behind these circumstances.
However, it seemed like it was most important to remain hidden.
Otherwise, they would become a target and be killed as well.
The atmosphere was especially tense.
All of a sudden, Lisa found a familiar symbol carved onto a wall through the binoculars. He spoke up with certainty. "Mark is here!"
"What?" Jennie was astonished.
"I found the code he left behind."
"Didn't he go missing in Mo Jia La Island?" Jennie asked in confusion. "Is this Mo Jia La Island?"
"No." Lisa shook his head. "This should be an abandoned town on the outskirts of a piece of land. Mo Jia La isn't like this. Regardless, Mark is here and he has left a code as a call for help. We should try to locate him."
She nodded.
The two of them spoke quietly and could only hear each other.
When the two foreign men left the home they were in, Lisa pointed the gun directly at one of their heads and shot him to death.
The other man did not have the time to figure out where the bullet came from. He responded quickly and immediately hid away.
Lisa jumped onto another apartment to prevent giving his location away. Soon, he snuck downstairs and killed the other man.
Coincidentally, he had run out of bullets. He tossed his gun away and snatched two new pairs of guns from the men whom he had just killed.
Jennie followed him closely.
Lisa handed one of the guns to her. "My wife, use this to protect yourself. I'll teach you how to use it..."
Right before he could begin explaining, she spoke up. "I know how to use it."
She did not wish to become his burden and had intentionally gone to learn to shoot after becoming rich in this life.
Furthermore, she had also secretly obtained a few pairs of guns to practice with.
With her special abilities, she was able to learn much faster than anyone else. At this moment, her shooting skills were very good.
He glanced at her in surprise. "You even know this?"
She smiled. "Just a little."
"That makes things easier." He told her sternly, "Follow behind me obediently.."
