Was this person throwing his life away?
He was especially eye-catching with the way he ran down the mountain and could easily be taken down.
However, with the way he was waving his arms as he ran, Jennie became certain that this was Mark.
As expected, when he reached closer, Jennie got a clear view of his face and confirmed that he was the fair-haired and blue-eyed idiot, Mark. It was no wonder that Lisa did not fire.
"Boss, did you come to rescue me? I'm so moved!" Mark stood by the destroyed home and shouted in agitation. "Where are you? Come out! I'm so afraid!"
There were several holes on Mark's clothes. He was trembling from the cold morning air.
He appeared just like a bright, harmless boy.
Jennie's body had grown stiff from enduring a long period of wait. When she saw that it was a friend, she sighed in relief.
She climbed down the tree and landed on the ground with unstable feet.
Lisa quickly jumped down after her and supported her.
"Boss, it's really you!" Mark noticed their movements. He immediately held his rifle up against his shoulder and began running towards them. "Uu, I'm so moved! You actually came to rescue me personally!"
His gaze was filled with grievance as he ran towards Lisa with both arms open. It was as though he was asking for an embrace.
"Scram!" Lisa snapped coldly in anger. "Are you fucking blind? I made such a large sign on the wall. Couldn't you see it?"
He had chosen this scheme of attracting his target out of its cave in order to avoid harming Mark by accident.
Thus, he made a sign that only the both of them could understand.
In the end, this dumbass still hid in ambush for an entire night!
As the distance was too large, he could not tell if it was Mark.
Thus, both of them could only remain in their positions the entire time.
Mark appeared apologetic. "Boss, I truly did not expect you to personally come and rescue me from this horrid place, so I didn't pay any attention to the sign you made. I only noticed it when daylight came. I can't believe that you came up with such a smart method. Boss, you're truly a genius. Why didn't I think of this?"
Lisa's expression was heavy and cold. "I didn't come to rescue you."
"In that case, why did you end up here?"
"I was passing by." The man's voice was emotionless.
Mark refused to believe that his boss would pass by such a place. It was both uninhabited and difficult to find. He spoke with certainty. "You must have come to save me. Don't be shy. For the past eleven days, I've been pursuing all the 'players' left and right in an attempt to kill them. Even locating one down was exhausting."
He paused for a moment before continuing energetically. "After suffering so much, I truly did not expect you to personally come looking for me. I'm really too moved!"
Jennie stood by Lisa's side. She glanced at Mark coldly. "In that case, how about you repay him with your body?"
"Of course I would..." Mark took in Lisa's frigid cold expression. "Our boss isn't interested in that. I wouldn't even dare to consider it. Of course, I would be willing to offer my life to Boss anytime he desires."
Lisa asked him coldly. "Didn't you go missing in Mo Jia La Island? How did you end up here?"
"I was kidnapped by the people from the Dark Moon Organisation." Mark replied gloomily. "They failed to kidnap Jennie and decided to kidnap me to threaten you.. However, they soon found out that both of you fell into the sea on your way to rescue me."
