"Accept it, you like me," I whispered in her ear and then kissed her cheek.

"Enough," she said seriously, standing up and trying to free herself from my embrace. "You know well what I think of you," she added as I circled the bench to approach her.

"And I want to change that... don't you see?" I said seriously.

"What I don't understand is, why me? Can't you just go after one of the thousands of other girls here?" she said with annoyance, passing her hand over her forehead. "For the umpteenth time, stay away from me, find someone else, and we all win," she continued.

"I like you. Yes, I could go after any of the other girls here, but... I don't want to," I answered her questions.

"Why?" she asked, shaking her head.

"Because anyone else would say yes right away," I laughed. "And they say what comes easy, goes easy," I added, adjusting my bag on my shoulder. "But I won't bother you anymore, as I said earlier, I've been rejected enough. You've broken a record, Kim," I sighed. "Was that why you wanted to see me?" I continued, somewhat pathetically hoping she'd confess her love for me and shout it from the rooftops. Over the top, don't you think?

"No, it wasn't for that," she said in a softer tone. "It was for..." she began but seemed to change her mind. "Never mind," she said, taking her keys from her bag and grabbing her backpack still on the bench.

"Come on, tell me," I insisted before she started walking.

"No," she refused again.

"You need my help," I teased, and her gaze fell to the ground. "Tell me, I won't tell anyone you asked for help," I laughed, and she rolled her eyes.

"Could you take care of Sihyun and Jongin for a few hours?"

"Wasn't it you who didn't want them around me?" I asked playfully.

"Forget it," she said annoyed and started walking.

"Hey, hey," I walked behind her and took her arm. "Rent a sense of humor," I said as I made her turn towards me. "Of course, I'll take care of them," I smiled.

"Th... thank..." she stuttered.

"If you don't want to say it, don't. It's not necessary," I interrupted her difficulty in thanking me.

"I have to go to the store, I haven't been there in three days and the guy who usually takes care of them while I'm not there can't do it today. I'll be back around eight, okay?" she asked, handing me the house keys.

"Then... see you in a bit," I said as she turned to walk towards her motorcycle.
