Don't go out with her.

We were already on our way back to the Kim's house after spending almost half the day at the ice cream parlor games. My phone started ringing, and I rummaged through the mess in my bag until I found it. It was my home number.

"Hello?"

"Miss Haerin," came the voice on the other end of the line, "your mother is asking when you'll be home."

"Tell her I won't be coming," I replied seriously, noticing Minji looking at me before returning her gaze to the road. "Tell her I'll be staying at Danielle's." Lucy, one of the housekeepers, covered the speaker, and I heard her repeating my words to my mother, who I bet was lost in her laptop and talking on her phone.

"She says it's okay but to be careful," now I needed to talk to Danielle.

I hung up and held down the one button, which was speed dial for Danielle, and held my phone to my ear.

Minji's POV.

Were they really letting her stay at Danielle's so easily? She had been out all day, and just because she didn't feel like going home, she didn't.

"Danielle? Where are you?" she said, running her hand through her hair. "Can I stay at your place tonight?" she asked, and I turned to look at her; a smile crept onto her lips. "Thanks," she said excitedly. "See you in a bit." She pressed the red button.

Once again, I turned to look at her; she also turned and smiled at me, scrunching her nose. I returned my gaze to the road. "When will you come again?" Sihyun asked Haerin as they said goodbye.

"W-well, I..." she stammered, looking up to meet my gaze. "Whenever you invite me," she said, smiling.

"Now!" Sihyun started jumping. "Stay longer, okay?"

"Yes, tell her, Min," Jongin requested.

"No, kids," she said with a gentle tone. "It's late, and you have school tomorrow, as do I," she explained, but it was impossible to change their minds.

"Come in already," I told them, and they both turned to look at me, sad?

"Okay," they said in unison, giving Haerin a kiss on the cheek each and walked towards the house.

"Well..." she said, walking towards her car. "Goodbye, Kim."

What? Just like that? Damn it! That's it! That's exactly what I hate about her! One moment she's one way, and in a few minutes, she's another. I walked behind her, and when she tried to open the door, I put my arm out and closed it again.

"What are you doing?" she asked, turning around.

"I'm not letting you leave," I said firmly, cornering her with my arms on either side. She widened her eyes. "Not until you promise me you won't go out with Iroha."

"Why should I promise you that?" she frowned. "What do you care if I go out with her or not?"

"I just don't want you to go out with her," I said, not even knowing why I made that request.

"Jealousy?" she asked, trying to provoke me. Don't fall for it, Minji.

"You know well that's not it."

"All I know is that you're dying of jealousy that I'm going out with Iroha, but you don't have the guts to say it," she's provoking you, Minji, don't fall for it.

"Do you see it?" she grinned wickedly. "You like me..." she slowly moved her hands up my arms to my neck. "I even know you say I'm pretty," thanks, Sihyun.

"N-No."

"Please, Minji," she interrupted with annoyance. "Stop wasting my time and stop wasting your time." She struggled to move me aside but didn't budge me an inch.

"I'll stop wasting your time when you tell me you won't go out with Iroha," I insisted, simply not wanting her to do it.

"Why, Minji?" she shouted, annoyed.

"Because I don't want you to go out with her."

"What? Now you're going to tell me who I can and can't date?" she said ironically. She really wanted to date Iroha.

"That's right," I smiled.

"Ah! And can you tell me who I can date then?"

"Nobody," I cornered her even more, this time putting my hands on her waist, and without giving her time to protest, I kissed her. For the first time, she refused to respond. I joined our foreheads, stopping the kiss, and raised my hand to her neck.

"I don't believe for a second that you want to go out with her," I lied. She took my hand and removed it.
