Today I took longer choosing what to wear since I was meeting up with Minji. I hurried down the stairs upon hearing Minji's car horn.

"Where are you going?" my mother asked from the living room, flipping through some papers.

"Minji invited me to dinner," I said with a huge smile. "I told you on Tuesday," I lied, knowing she wouldn't remember anyway.

"Alright," she said without looking up from her papers. I rolled my eyes and walked towards the door.

"Wow," Minji raised both eyebrows upon seeing me. "I think we'll need to go somewhere fancier than I had in mind." We both laughed.

"If you want, I can change," I said, gesturing back towards the house.

"No, no," she shook her head. "Shall we?"

We walked towards her car, she went to the driver's side and I to the passenger's. She opened the door and got in, while I leaned against my waist, looking at her through the front window. She looked at me and laughed, shaking her head.

"Is this for real?" she asked, a smile playing on her lips.

"Well, back in my day, this is how things were done," I said as if I were a ninety-year-old woman.

"In your day?" she asked, stepping out of the car.

"Just do it and don't ask questions," I said, biting my lower lip to hold back my laughter.

"As you command, 'princess'," she teased, circling the car to open my door.

"Aww," I said, touched. "You called me 'princess'," I looked at her tenderly.

"It was sarcasm," she rolled her eyes.

"I knew there was a sweet Minji behind this," I gestured towards her outfit.

"Sar-casm," she separated the syllables. "You know it well," she said, wanting to burst into laughter; it was fun to tease her like this.

"So where were you planning for us to go?" I asked as she drove for at least five minutes.

"It's a joke, right?" This time I burst into laughter.

"You wanted to come here, didn't you?" she smiled, parking the car in the restaurant's parking lot.

"Minji, that was sarcasm..." I sighed as we got out of the car, realizing she was getting back at me for the 'princess' comment.

"Don't you like it?" she asked, closing the car door and walking towards me.

"If I had known earlier, I wouldn't have stressed so much trying to find a nice dress."

"I'll have combo number one and a milkshake..." I said, trying to decide on a flavor. "Strawberry," I said confidently, but then changed my mind. "No, chocolate," I laughed apologetically as I had already tapped the screen.

"Don't worry, take your time," the blonde cashier said with a charming smile. I felt Minji's hand slide down my back to my waist, pulling me gently towards her. Hello, jealousy!

"Vanilla, actually vanilla," I finally decided, noticing the cashier's intimidated look.

"Minji," I called her as she picked up our order number sign. "The good thing is I called early to reserve a table," she joked, wrapping her arm around my shoulders.

"Wow," I pretended to be surprised. "It must have been hard to get this table; it's one of the best in the place." We sat at the supposed special table.

"Anything else you need?" the waiter asked, specifically looking at me with a fixed gaze.

"No," Minji replied curtly, and I immediately looked at her. "Thank you," she said, looking at me.

"Don't be jealous," I said when the waiter left.

"I'm not jealous," she affirmed, unwrapping her burger that was twice the size of mine.

"Oh really?" I used the sarcasm again. "Because it seemed like you wanted to punch him." I sighed. "It's probably just my imagination."

"Yeah, that's it..." We continued chatting nonsensically. She asked questions, I answered; I asked questions, she answered. I couldn't stop laughing, even though she tried not to, she ended up laughing too.

"Do you still think the same about me?" I asked, easing off the laughter a bit.

"Why do you ask?" she leaned against the car.

"Because..." I looked down. "I actually care about what you think of me." I bit my lower lip.

"No..." she said, taking my chin and lifting my face. "I don't think the same." She leaned in slowly, aiming for my lips. I leaned in too but turned my face, reaching her cheek where I placed a soft kiss.

"I don't kiss on the first date," I whispered amidst laughter in her ear.

"You've kissed me before without even having a date," she whispered back in my ear.

"But now we do," I playfully punched her stomach. "And no kissing on the first."

"Marsh, we need to talk," I slammed Danielle's locker shut.

"You're crazy, woman! You almost took my head off," she exaggerated.

"What a shame, now we really need to talk."

"About what?" she asked, reopening her locker.

-----------

"You have to be kidding, right?" I asked, laughing while she pulled out books.

"Danielle Marsh! It's not a joke," I slammed the door again, making her stare at me.

"So you give up?" she asked, opening it again and giving me a death stare.

"No, yes... well no, yes but not like that," I was even confusing myself. "I... I feel bad for playing with her..." I said sincerely.

"Don't tell me," she mocked, "You've fallen in love." She burst out laughing.

"Don't be stupid," I ran my hand through my hair in frustration.

"I thought you wanted to get Eunchae back and get revenge on what Kim did to you, right?" She was right; I couldn't forget the main reasons.

"Yes," I said confidently. "You're right. Forget what I said, the bet is still on."
