 A warm ray of sunshine was the culprit that woke me up early. I rubbed my eyes to avoid being momentarily blinded when I opened them. I tried to turn to close the curtain so I could keep sleeping, but it was impossible. Haerin was wrapped around me. A smile formed on my face as I remembered the wonderful night we had spent together.

I ran my hand over the sheet around her waist, hugging her, and she snuggled even closer to my chest. I brushed aside a few strands of hair that were obstructing my view of her face. I kissed her forehead and then softly kissed her lips, careful not to wake her, but apparently, it was futile. She slowly opened her eyes and a huge smile spread across her face when she saw me.

"Good morning," she said, hiding her face in my neck.

"Good morning," I replied, kissing her hair.

"What time is it?" she asked in a husky voice.

"Nine," I said after checking the clock on the nightstand.

"Why did you wake up so early?" she laughed, rubbing her eyes.

"That ray of sunshine woke me up, and I didn't close the curtain because I didn't want to wake you. Anyway, it didn't work," I snuggled into her arms.

"I'll close it," she said, sitting up in bed. "But close your eyes," she instructed. What?

"Why?" I asked, puzzled.

"Close them," she ordered again while covering herself with the sheet, and then I understood why.

"Sweetie, it's silly that—"

"No, Min," she laughed. I finally obeyed and covered myself with the thin sheet up to my head, only able to see her silhouette. The room darkened again.

"Can I uncover now?" I asked.

"Yes," she replied, and I lowered the sheet. Now her naked body was covered by my red and black plaid shirt.

"Can I borrow it?" she asked in a childlike voice.

"No, take it off," I bit my lower lip.

"Then I'll go get some clothes," she said, getting out of bed and walking towards the door.

"Hey!" I called her, and she stopped. "Come back," I said, nodding towards the empty spot in the bed. Her eyes lit up, and she ran back to the bed.

"Just a little longer. We need to get ready for tonight, and you have to pick up your dress," she repeated our itinerary.

"What if we just stay here instead..." I said, wrapping her in my arms.

"Minji..." she elongated, for it was important to her to attend.

"Alright, alright."

"Min? Minji! Wake up! Minji, wake up!" I opened my eyes abruptly at Eunchae's calls.

"What? What happened?" I asked, disoriented and alarmed.

"It's five in the afternoon and we are still... like this!" Damn, five o'clock? How had we slept so long? "I'm going to shower, then pick up my dress from... my mother's house," her voice completely changed tone. She gave me a passionate kiss on the lips before running off to the bathroom. I put my arms behind my head and stared at the ceiling. Without a doubt, I was in love with her.

I could hear the water running in the bathroom and her sweet humming coming from the same place.

A slight beeping pulled me out of my thoughts. I turned to my right, and again, I heard the same sound, coming from Haerin's phone. It beeped a third time. I picked it up and just looked at the screen; I wouldn't invade her privacy.
