Leah's Pov:
Isla: "LEAH." I heard shouted from across the room.
I turned around, eyes widening, taking in Isla's obviously drunk state. How could she be this drunk, we hadn't even made it to the Club? I quickly excused myself from the conversation I was having with Step, Lia, and Jen. I stood up and walked over to Isla with a concerned expression.
Leah: "Hey, Isla. Are you okay?" I say, placing a steadying hand on Isla's arm.
Isla giggled, leaning into me.
Isla: "I am better now that I have found you." she says, her words slurring slightly.
Isla: "I was looking for you." she says while looking intensely into my eyes.
I can't help but think how partially sweet it is. Even though she is drunk, it just shows that she wants to be around me and is thinking about me.
Leah: "You have had a bit too much to drink, haven't you?"
Isal just nods enthusiastically at my statement. I just chuckle and shake my head. I wish I was feeling as enthusiastic as she was right now because now I have to keep an eye on her.
Isla: "Yeah, Katie made me do ten shots, Ten, Leah! Can you believe it? I did it in 26 seconds."
Leah: "Why did she time it?"
Isla: "She says it was an Arsenal tradition to take ten shots." she says as I let out a giggle.
Leah: "That sounds like Katie. Come on, let's sit down for a bit before we head out." I say as I guide her towards an empty sofa, sitting her down and staying close.
I couldn't help but catch Isla intensely staring at me. I turned to look at her, and I gave her a small smile.
Isla: "You know Leah." she said almost in a whisper.
Isla: "I have been wanting to tell you something."
I tilted my head as my curiosity piqued
Leah: "What is it?"
Isla: "I really like you, like a lot, and not just as a friend. I am truly falling for you, and I just want to be with you every second of the day. You are all I think about, and your eyes, Omg, your blue eyes are amazing. I could stare into them all day." she says.
For a moment, I was silent. Searching her eyes, searching Isla's face. Then, a warm smile spread across my lips.
Leah: "Isla, I like you too. I've been wanting to tell you the same thing."
We both started to Lean in as we were the only ones left in the living room, but then a voice interrupted us.
Beth: "What's going on here?" she asked, her tone sharp.
Isla: "i, uh.... I was telling Leah something important."
Beth crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing.
Beth: "Isla, you are drunk. Maybe this isn't the best time for confessions." I stood up in front of Beth a, protectiveness taking over me.
Leah: "Beth, it's okay; we are just talking."
But Beth wasn't convinced.
Beth: "Talking? It looks like more than that, Isla; you need to get some water and sober up before we go anywhere.
I could tell Isla was a bit overwhelmed and embarrassed by Beth as she tried to stand up but wobbled. I quickly stood up steadying her, while shooting Beth a look.
