A beautiful sunny day, a gentle sun, filtered by the foliage of the tall trees, accompanied by a gentle breeze that occasionally lifts dead leaves. Ideal conditions to relax and have a good time. However, sunny days are not always happy.

My name is Bindzi Émana, I am the only child of the Emana couple. Like my parents, I am a scientist. I work in the field of bioengineering, genetics and advanced electronics. As an actor in the transhumanist movement, I develop, among other things, technologies to improve the living conditions of people who have lost body parts or those born with disabilities. At least that's what I thought I was doing until then. However, on this day my life is about to change and I can't even imagine how much.

Today, I am in the family cemetery and what is unfolding before my eyes happens to be the funeral of my parents. How did this happen? They were both in their forties and certainly still had a bright future ahead of them.

A few weeks earlier, they had decided to take a few days off to celebrate their wedding anniversary while testing the carrier they had just designed. A perfect holiday for a couple of scientists.

I still remember them getting into that capsule. Their eyes sparkling at the idea of testing this equipment that was to revolutionize transport without realizing that this image of them would be the last.

A few days after their departure, their experimental carrier reported a defect over the ocean moments before disappearing without a trace. For several weeks, we carried out multispectral RADAR scans of the ocean region where their signal had disappeared, analyzed the sea currents, studied the plans of the carrier and reviewed the navigation data; We have not had any conclusive answers.

We had to face the facts; they had left us.

"Now I'm alone... Not quite. Even though it's true that I'm an only child, my friend Énama has always been there for me." I say to myself as I look at Enama who is working to ensure the smooth running of the ceremony.

Énama, who was able to keep his calm after this incident, took charge of directing the search for several weeks, in the hope of finding my parents. Unfortunately, after several weeks of fruitless searching, something had to be done, even a symbolic funeral, to help us move forward. At least that was the idea of Énama who was also in charge of organizing this funeral.

"I can't thank him enough for the support he's given me so far." I say to myself with a heart full of gratitude.

As I watch this ceremony without any attention, my thoughts wander.

"Anyway, it's just a way for them to move forward. For me this funeral makes no sense. Burying empty coffins, what a beautiful farce."

At that moment, I relive my forgotten childhood memories. For some reason, I have very few memories of my childhood. As if I hadn't had one. However, there are always these images that come to mind. A child I believe to be me being attacked by beasts that are unlike any animal living on earth. These memories are accompanied by acute headaches. As if the goal was to dissuade me or protect me from what is hidden behind these memories.

I come to myself and support my head with my hand. I look up and I see this young woman accompanied by two adults. A man and a woman in their forties and a beautiful young woman, tall and beautiful. She wears a long, simple white dress. The two adults behind them are wearing what looks like ceremonial clothing for high-ranking military officers or nobles. They just lack crowns to make them look like a king with his queen. This makes this young woman a princess. The three of them come closer to me and look at me worriedly. At that moment I recognize the young woman.

"Énama's girlfriend, what is she doing here? Why are she and her parents getting closer to me?" I wonder.

Right after these questions, something even more striking comes to mind.
