Chapter 48 : Separation and Hope

Despite her extreme fatigue, Ama, who was a few hundred kilometers from Bindzi, was able to follow the progress of her fight as best she could when she felt an overload of energy; she knew that Bindzi had once again unleashed that devastating power. This time it was even more powerful, much more powerful. Was he even capable of containing such energy? However, the silence that followed was even more surprising but it was not the end of the surprises.

''Essissima Mvé, he has completely disappeared.'' Ama exclaimed.

''Did we win?'' Bella asked.

''I would not know how to say it. He just disappeared. Bindzi is still there but there is someone else.'' Ama replied.

''Do you think this person did something to Essissima Mvé ?'' asked Ékobo.

''Let your sister rest. She shouldn't be talking. I'll give you a sedative princess.'' Said a man in a medical coat.

It was Tokam Rubert, doctor of the Bizimana family, intervening to put an end to this warm conversation which had no place given the state in which Ama found herself. He and his team had arrived with Ama's parents who were in another room with Bindzi's parents now lying on beds. They were still unconscious but their lives were no longer in danger. Weeks of siphoning had seriously weakened them. A few weeks or months of rest should allow them to fully recover.

Ama having received her sedative felt her consciousness slipping away from her little by little. Ella, who was silently observing her, saw a tear escape from the corner of her left eye.

''Has anything else happened?'' Ella wondered but there was no one to answer her questions.

Sun was still resting under a tree when he heard the sound of cars. He was clearly in no condition to leave.

''It's so pathetic. Sun Eater the indestructible. The former right-hand man of the boss of one of the most powerful international mafia groups. You got laid out by an old wreck and a kid. I'm going to engrave this image in my memory.'' Said Norbert.

''Ah it's you Norbert. How is business going? I hope you behave yourself.'' Said Sun.

''Is that all you have to say to your benefactor?'' Asks Norbert.

''You? Benefactor? They definitely asked you to do it.'' Sun asks.

''Let's go. The car is not far away. I'm going to keep you at my place for a while while you recover.'' Said Norbert. ''Lisa will be happy to see you again.''

''Ah Lisa, we haven't seen each other since the mafia days.'' Said Sun.

The two men walked towards Norbert's car, talking like old friends.

A week after these events. Ama had fully recovered, Olama and Ngono had finally woken up but still could not walk so were on wheelchairs. Bindzi was still nowhere to be found and the tension was growing more and more. Ama had already made several tours of the Émana domain in search of clues to the location of Bindzi or Essissima Mvé. She even tried to locate the intruder she had seen some time before falling asleep. Even if her memory was foggy, she suspected that Bindzi had disappeared in the same way as Essissima Mvé and that it would be difficult to find him but, in the end, the third person was still there. She had already searched frantically for this presence without success when returning home she felt the same presence at the edge of the lake.

Without delay, she rushed towards the lake. He was naturally sitting on a deck chair. A fishing rod in hand.

Faced with this stranger linked to Bindzi's disappearance, Ama raises her hand and activates containment, imprisoning Sun Eater in a spatial isolation bubble.

''You will not leave this place until you tell me what you did to Bindzi.'' Said Ama.

''Oh oh oh! I'm scared to death. A woman in love is no different from a hungry wild beast when the object of her affection is taken away. Let me introduce myself. Okala Mebougane but, you can call me Sun, Sun Eater.'' Said Sun.

He nonchalantly placed his fishing rod on the ground and stood up then crossed Ama's barrier which dissolved upon his contact.

''How...?'' Asks Ama who steps back and gets into a fighting position.

''Calm down.'' Sun said. ''Why do people always try to kill the messenger? I have a message for you and the Émana parents... From Bindzi.''

He explained to her the circumstances of the end of the confrontation which had taken place a week earlier, his contribution and what had become of those who were on the scene.

He advised her to be moderate. Now that she had become a celestial master, she could no longer use her powers as she saw fit.

His mission accomplished, Sun who was anything but a man overflowing with free time retired just after giving his contact to Ama.

Thereafter Ama transmitted the message to others. At least hope had returned. The Émana parents, who until then had not really decided what to do next, had finally found a new objective.

''Since he is coming back, let's prepare to welcome him''

A few days later Ama and the Émana parents could be seen in the Émana domain directing the reconstruction of the domain.

The authorities were told that Enama had plotted a scam to seize the family's property and had kidnapped both parents in order to use their knowledge to build an experimental reactor which unfortunately exploded and caused enormous damage and the atmospheric disturbances observed. Mr. Mvé's intervention saved the lives of the Émana couple, but Énama and his team were not as lucky.
