Chapter 43 : The Mastermind

However, Essissima's apparent patience was anything but in the couple's interest but rather in his own interest. Essissima has been monitoring the changes in the mass of darkness since her arrival and patiently waits for it to stabilize.

''Me ? Don't forget my partner Ngan-medza. It is coming out of a very long rest.'' Comments Essissima Mvé with confidence.

The mass of darkness is already more than four meters high. Which worries Ama and Bindzi more and more. While the couple is still wondering what to do in this situation, a head emerges from this mass of darkness. The head screams at the top of its lungs like a baby being born. The sound diffuses through the air spreading vibrations that shock the minds of those who listen to it. Even Essissima Mvé who seems to be the master of this beast of unknown nature is not spared.

While the three masters try to recover after this shock, a second head appears, a third follows. As if that were not enough, a fourth and a fifth emerge from the mass of darkness in their turn. Each head is accompanied by a tail which is not quite a tail. These are snake heads that are smaller in size than dragon heads.

The beast finally takes shape and emits a deafening howl with its ten heads. Bindzi and Ama use their authorities to repel this sound which is capable of affecting their consciousness.

This beast as tall as a one-story building walks on four legs and has ten heads. Five in front and five more behind. It is a true monster even among beasts. Something similar is rarely observable.

''I lent it to this kid which gave him an identity crisis.'' Comments Essissima Mvé who looks at the Ngan-medza with satisfaction. ''Now my little Ngan-medza has regained his form.''

''That means that Énama has been working with Essissima Mvé for at least twenty years.'' Bindzi said to himself. ''Such a mistake, there is reason to become paranoid in the future.''

The five dragon heads release different elemental auras, which attracts the attention of Bindzi and Ama. However, even more alarming than this observation, a detail in the words of Essissima Mvé attracts their attention.

''Bindzi, he said this monstrosity is called Ngan-medza, do you understand what that means?'' Asks Ama.

''That he too is a celestial master?'' asks Bindzi.

''No, don't compare me to you other inferior beings who collaborate as equals with these vermin.'' Comments Essissima Mvé. ''We dominate the beasts. When we completely establish our domination over the beast, we become an abyssal master. Don't worry, I'm not an abyssal master. I have never managed to completely subdue this beast.''

Bindzi looks at Essissima Mvé and looks at the Ngan-medza. Both are dangerous and powerful however, Bindzi and Ama had each previously survived several encounters with this beast. In fact, even if it looks totally different now, Bindzi judges that the person who confronts it has a better chance of survival than the one who opposes Essissima Mvé who is ruthless and brutal towards his enemies as well as his allies.

''Sorry Ama but, I'm going to ask you to take care of this thing, this Ngan-medza... This man is dangerous. I prefer to take care of him.'' Said Bindzi.

Bindzi gives one of his weapons to Ama who doesn't have one. He activates his authority and directs all his attention to the Ngan-medza forcing it to deactivate his cloak of darkness. However, even without its darkness, this beast remains very dangerous.

''You direct all your attention to my pet. I see that you underestimate me.'' Said Essissima Mvé.

Essissima, who no longer needs to wait, draws his bardiche. With one step, he covers the distance separating him from Bindzi and launches a piercing blow at Bindzi. He easily dodges this blow.
