The creature absorbed all the speed, abruptly immobilizing us. Without even waiting for an answer from me, it releases the handle it is holding. At that moment, I finally see the second reason why I was unable to stop this blade.
The blade that the beast holds without difficulty falls immediately after it releases it and sticks on the ground. All my efforts to lift it are proving useless.
"It is heavy, extremely heavy. How does it manage to keep it? Moreover, he has two." I say, unable to lift that blade.
Taking advantage of this opening, the beast kicks me back to the wall where I was a few moments earlier. It moves forward slowly with heavy steps and picks up its blade and points it at me. It drops Its blade again and finds itself right in front of me in an instant. It then begins a movement with the hand that has no weapon. Did it forget that it dropped it? While continuing the movement, it lets go of the second blade that it holds in its left hand. As the beast continues its movement, the blade reappears in its hand and it pulls it violently towards me. I can feel the effort it makes just to pull it.
"I'm going to lose my head if I don't do something." I say to myself when I see the precariousness of the situation in which I find myself.
The torch is weaker and weaker. Fluctuations in its intensity are becoming more and more frequent. With a slight jerky movement, I move just enough to avoid the blow and position myself behind the beast. With my flaming fists, I deal it a violent blow. Unable to resist the violence of this blow, the beast is propelled into the air. As it slices through the air at full speed, it spins on itself and returns to an upright position. The beast lands on the ground but instead of braking, it jumps and turns around to face me. After a few meters, it lands again and squeezes her paws on the ground in order to stop. Not satisfied with the speed at which it slows down, it opens the shell that covers it back and violently spreads a powerful pair of wings. The air behind the beast explodes violently, which stops the beast in its tracks. The beast folds and puts away its wings with satisfaction.
Having used my last strength to dodge and retaliate, I gasp but use all the willpower I have left to stay on my feet and ready to respond to the next attack. However, the disappointment is visible on my face. I hoped that this attack would put an end to this fight.
The beast looks at me and, in its eyes, I see the hostility that precedes the assault. I understand that the next attack is imminent and I try to take the initiative. I amplify the flame on my feet to accelerate towards the beast but the increase in intensity only lasts a brief moment. The flames diminish so much that they are almost extinguished. Noticing this moment of weakness, the beast, which is visibly vicious, takes advantage of it to attack. It lets go of its blades and presses its paw on the ground. In an instant it covers the distance that separates us and fiercely kicks me with it fists and paws. With difficulty, I manage to deflect most of the blows this beast throws at me.
"I have neither the strength to parry its blows nor the possibility to counterattack." I tell myself while I am suffering an endless barrage of blows and accumulating injuries.
The barrage of blows continues for a few seconds then the beast takes a step back, then raises its hand above its head and lowers it violently. I immediately recognize this attack but it is too late to put myself out of the reach of this blade which appears in the hand of the beast and descends inexorably towards my head.
For the most part, the attacks of this beast are sudden and deadly. The beast strikes mercilessly, without bloodlust or relentlessness. Like a warrior who has experienced countless battles and taken on so much life that it has become an innocuous gesture devoid of emotions. For some reason, as the noose closes in on me, I recognize the value of this warrior. I, who am not one, admit it. Something about his behavior resonates in me like an echo of an inaudible melody carried by a distant wind. A resonance between man and beast connected by the edge of a blade.
As if time had slowed down, I see the blade descend towards me, but I can no longer dodge this blow. At this moment my instinct takes over and I accumulate what is left of my flames on one hand and I grab the blade that comes down towards me with my bare hands. It's better to lose a hand if it can save my life. The violence of the blow and the enormous weight of the blade are opposed to the explosive force of the flames of the torch concentrated in one point. The violence of the shock caused an explosion that shook the tunnel and a few stones collapsed here and there. The shock wave of this explosion travels through my body and ravages my muscles and bones. Finally, the beast presses its blade and pushes me back a few meters from it.
I stabilize myself and vomit blood. I put my left hand on my chest hoping to soothe my suffering. My right hand, fractured in several places, falls back and hangs like a puppet hanging from its last thread. I feel the urge to cough. I cover my mouth. I cough and vomit blood once again. Feeling something warm on my hand, I look at my hand and see this red liquid covering my hand. At that moment, I understood that my life was hanging by a thread.
A few hours before, I buried my parents and then I was going to die in a place I didn't know... Alone... Alone...
''Eeeeéénamaaaaaaaaa, I can't accept it. I can't die before I make you pay." I scream with all my might.
As the dust settles, I gather all my strength. This beast that could take advantage of this moment of weakness lowers its blade and looks at me with contemplation? I gather all my strength. As if responding to my determination, the torch approaches me and penetrates my chest. The vivid heat of this flame that burns my skin, flesh and entrails makes me scream like a madman.
''Ahhh aaahhhh AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH''
The flames intensify and spread throughout my body, which turns bright yellow. My clothes, which are already in a pitiful state, are burned even more.
After a few seconds of agony, my body gradually returns to its normal color, taking away my pain and my cries of agony. At that moment I realize that all the injuries and fatigue accumulated during this fight have disappeared with these indescribable pains. Even my hand, which I thought was doomed, is as good as new.
I look up and look at my opponent and then I raise my hand to my face. I open it and close it three times to reassure myself that it has indeed returned to its normal state.
The beast that has shown patience points its blade at me and speaks.
"You're alone now, what do you plan to do... Alone against the three of us." Declares the beast.
"The three of you?" I answer surprised by his statement.
"These two blades are very much alive and each has a special attribute." Said the beast, raising its two blades. "First, I can't move freely when I hold both in my hands. The one I always carry increases my speed and strength, so I can hold both and move almost normally. The one that almost cut off your head and hand is extremely heavy and strong. It can slice almost anything. In addition, it can draw me to it or appear instantly in my hand. Unfortunately, they don't like me and don't allow me to attack by holding them both. In fact, I can't use all the power that these two blades can offer. When I use them, I have much more strength, but I lack stamina because of their lack of cooperation."
"This creature was on the verge of killing me just a few seconds ago and now it's giving me a whole lecture on its blades." I say, surprised by the creature.
Knowing its nature, I suspect that it is a new ruse to distract me.
"Why am I listening to you when I know it's just a distraction. In fact, I wonder why a beast as powerful as you needs to distract me?" I answer while remaining very vigilant.
"This beast you were using is extremely powerful." Said the beast.
Itsstatement, which is quite surprising, takes me by surprise. However, as usual, itdoes not deprive herself of any freedom and tramples on all my actions and mydetermination.
