Ch. 19 Unexpected Aventura

Halo POV

"Ugh, I'm telling you guy!" I exclaimed angrily, "We were able to escape thanks to NightWave. I most likely would have died if NightWave hadn't been there." Jack, who had seen what NightWave did, nodded in agreement with my statement but also had an uneasy expression.

"It's true that I saw NightWave show up and help us, but are we certain that she would helped any of us or just you?" Jack questioned. I had a puzzled expression as I stared at Jack.

"Even if NightWave has shown her affection for you on numerous occasions, that doesn't indicate that she would feel the same way about any of us. It could all be a trick" Arcee said.

"But she did!" I slammed my fists on the table and let out a shout that undoubtedly shocked a few of them. I was sick and tired of them bad mouthing NightWave in my presence. I despised the manner in which, despite their lack of familiarity with NightWave, they continued to assume she was evil. Heck, nobody wanted to be close to her at base when she was there. If nothing else, the only ones that seemed to try were Ratchet and Optimus.

"NightWave has never been like other Decepticons. I could tell by the look on her eyes that NightWave wanted to come back, but she couldn't because of something that Knockout did to her" I remarked. Standing at the side, Ratchet sighed and took a step forward.

"Optimus, I agree with Halo. I saw NightWave arrived and saved Halo before Knockout could get him. I also saw her fall to the ground in pain as she watched us when Knockout was pointing something at her" Ratchet remarked, "If anything, I feel like she's being forced to be there against her will." And Optimus gave a nod.

"I think so too, old friend" Optimus remarked.

"Now what? We just don't fight her if we run into her during a fight? And what happens if she opens fire on us or starts to fight us? Are we allowing her to kill us?" Arcee questioned.

"No, but at the moment we need to keep in mind that NightWave might be forced to stay at the Nemesis, which could be the reason she hasn't attempted to flee yet. In any case, it appears that she will most likely be forced to fight us against her will" Optimus stated, "If anything, we'll just try to see if there's any way we could help her if we ever meet her in battle."

"Thank you, Optimus" I said to him. Following that, Optimus started to decide who was going to what relic location.

Given that the first relic was in the metropolis of New York, Jack and Miko suggested traveling with Bumblebee and Arcee and acting as a human shield. As for second set of coordinates, Bulkhead was traveling alone to an active volcano, assisted by Raf and Agent Fowler with transportation and communications. Optimus, who was also going to travel alone, is heading for the third set of coordinates at the frozen Arctic. At last, Ratchet accompany by Wheeljack were going for the fourth set of coordinates. I was supposed to stay back at base and helped out with communications and transportation, but lets just say that didn't go as plan.

All of this sort of happened without my planning. I became a little overly excited when I heard that Wheeljack had arrived and had landed on top of base since I missed seeing him the previous time he arrived while searching for Dreadwing. I ran to the elevator and then hurried to the ship to look into it. I was going to head out before Wheeljack and Ratchet left, but I don't think they saw me because the door closed on me before I could get out, trapping me inside the ship. I was now forced to embark on this dangerous quest, pulling what Jack and Raf referred to as a Miko.

I was currently working really hard to avoid being discovered by either bot since I didn't want get in trouble for accidentally stumbling into the ship even if I came along by accident.

"So, all of team Prime's busy chasing down for Iacon relics?" I heard Wheeljack ask Ratchet. Gazing outside, I noticed the two conversing to each other on the ship's controls at the front.

"Yeah, the four which are currently in play" Ratchet told Wheeljack.
