Ch. 7 Healing

3rd POV

Everyone observed Jack's Mother, June, providing an unconscious Halo with first aid. Everyone regretted their failure to save him sooner.

"Ahem, so, are we gonna talk about who saved Halo?" Raf questioned. Everyone turned around to face Raf. Arcee stepped up first.

"Well, you three did say that it was a female Decepticon the one that saved him, right?" Arcee asked. Raf, Miko, and Jack nodded.

"It was, if my memory is correct, it was the very same female Decepticon that we had encountered in the cave, Arcee" Jack answered.

"If I recall she did say she wasn't a Decepticon anymore. However, didn't you say that Megatron fired at her despite knowing her, right?" Raf asked and Jack nodded. "Well, it would seem to me that that suggests that she might really not be a Decepticon after all" Raf said.

"Perhaps. It is a possibility" Optimus said. After treating Halo, June made her way over to where everyone was gathered.

"I managed to stabilize Halo for now, but we really need to take him to the hospital and tell Halo's mother, Rue, about her son. His Mother must be wprried about him right now" June remarked.

"It's understandable, but until we are sure that the Decepticons are not looking for him we got to keep him here" Optimus said.

"What? Does this mean that we are going to give another human access to the base?" Miko asked after realizing that they needed to tell Halo's Mother about the Autobots since there was no other choice.

"It appears that we don't have a choice, Miko, since her son's life is in danger and she has the right to know" Bulkhead stated. June nodded before attempting to call Rue but no one picked up.

"Hmm, this is odd. Rue isn't answering" June said.

"Perhaps she's busy. Call her again later, Mom" Jack advised. Ratchet quickly looked at the main computer when a sound came from it. It was an anonymous request for help.

"It appears that we have received a message from somebody" Ratchet said getting everyone's attention and soon everyone was looking at Ratchet.

"Mm, do you know who it belongs to?" Arcee asked. Ratchet shook his helm as he typed on the computer.

"I've never seen this life signal before. It's coming from this exact location and was sent out as a distress signal" He said and turned around to look at everyone.

"It seems that whoever sent the message is urgently asking for help" He added. Everyone turned to face their leader as they awaited his next move.

"Autobots get ready to investigate the distress signal" Optimus ordered, turning around and getting ready to leave.

"Are you sure?" Arcee asked, but Optimus still nodded and soon everyone got ready to check out the distress signal.

Everyone soon entered the Groundbridge that Ratchet opened and with the exception of Arcee, they all went through.

On the other side, everyone entered a dark forest where they discovered a female Cybertronian lying next to a giant rock with a pool of Energon beneath her.

": It looks like she is unconscious:" Bumblebee said and indeed was Bumblebee correclt. She was not moving or responding. Ratchet approached the female slowly and soon figured out that she had just gone into shutdown mode.

"It appears she just went into shutdown mode after losing so much Energon" Ratchet declared and after performing a full body scan. He stood up and faced Optimus.

"If you want me to save her then I need to treat her back at base as soon as possible or she will die" Ratchet added. Optimus nodded. He approached the female and picked her up. He carried her back to the Autobot base. Ratchet began treating her right away, but after he finished, they took her to a cell.

"Now what do we do?" asked Arcee.

"Well, now we wait until she wakes up to ask questions" Optimus responded and everyone nodded.

*TIME SKIP*

Halo and NightWave have been at the Autobot base for almost a week. Halo woke up first.

"Halo, I'm so glad you're alright. It's all right, sweety. I understand you must be really scared right now but don't worry because these robots will not harm you in the same way as the ones that kidnapped you" June explained but Halo didn't give a damn since he already knew that.

"W-where is she?" Halo questioned. He was looking down at his hands on his lap and soon looked up to face everyone.

"Are you talking about your Mother? If that's the case, I'm afraid she has gone missing since you were taken hostage" Jack said. Halo quickly shook his head.

"No! I am talking about the female Decepticon who saved me. I want to know where she is. Is she alright?" He questioned. Ratchet started speaking before June could respond.

"It seems that she stayed behind to give you guys time to escape, but she was seriously hurt and later sent out a distress signal after escaping. At the moment she has already been treated and is currently still recharging in one of our holding cells" Ratchet said. Halo's eyes soon widened.

"Holding cells?" Halo screamed and sat up quickly which was a bad idea since his body began to hurt badly. June quickly helped him sit up.

"Calm down. It's alright, sweetheart. Just let them do their job. After all, they know more about this than we do" June said and even though June was just trying to calm Halo down, Halo wasn't showing any signs of doing so.

"SCREW THAT!" Halo yelled and shocked everyone in the room. For the humans that already knew Halo, it was strange as to why Halo was acting this way. As for the Autobots, they were confused as to why the human boy was getting so worked up.

"NightWave isn't evil. You need to believe me. NightWave's good and has taken care of me my whole life" Halo said as his small color eyes began to tear up.

"Huh, what are you talking about, Halo? And how do you know that Decepticon's name?" June asked.

"Goddammit, NightWave is Rue! How stupid are you Autobots?" when Halo yelled, both humans and Autobots were instantly startled. The discovery that NightWave was Halo's human mother, Rue, as well as the fact that Halo was fully aware of them stunned the Autobots.

"Halo, how did you know about the Autobots? And what do you mean NightWave's Rue?" June asked. Halo looked down at his lap with a sad expression.

"Exactly how it sounds. Nightwave's a Cybertronian who abandoned the Decepticons a decade ago" Halo continued, "And has been my legal guardian ever since," and then he turned to face the Autobots.

"Please believe me. NightWave's not evil" Halo begged as the tears built up, "... y-you have to b... believe me... " Halo said and soon after began to cry. Optimus eventually stepped forward and responded.

"Until NightWave wakes up and we can speak with her, she will remain in the cell for everyone's safely" Optimus said. Halo frowned but made no comment, and for the rest of the day, he just remained silent. Nothing Jack, Miko, or Raf did to cheer him up was successful. He doesn't seem to have cared about anything else because he was too worried about NightWave.

NightWave didn't wake up until two nights later. Halo got better during that time but remained silent and away from everyone. As soon as NightWave woke up Optimus decided to speak with her first
