NightWave POV

"Optimus, what is Alpha Trion saying?" Ratchet asked, concern etched on his face. Optimus was silent for a while longer, his sword still glowing faintly. The energy dissipated, and he dropped down, as if the weight of the world was on his shoulders. Without a second thought, I rushed to his side. Ratchet and I helped him to his feet.

"Easy, Optimus," Ratchet urged.

": Are you alright?:" I asked, my voice shaky with concern. Optimus only nodded faintly. Smokescreen, ever curious, cut in.

"So, did Alpha Trion try and ask about me?" He asked. I rolled my optics at him, but before I could retort, Bulkhead shoved his shoulder.

"What was the message?" Bulkhead asked, more concerned with the message than Smokescreen's antics.

"It is paramount that we recover the final four Iacon relics... the Omega Keys" Optimus finally answered.

"Omega Keys?" Arcee questioned.

"To what?" Ratchet added.

"To the regeneration of our home planet" He replied. Optimus' answer hung in the air like a storm cloud. I felt my optics go wide.

": W-wait, what? You mean... Cybertron?" I asked. Ratchet, who was overcome with awe, stammered.

"Are you absolutely sure?" He asked. Optimus nodded. Ratchet laughed with disbelief and joy.

"I don't believe it!" He cheered.

"Neither do I..." I muttered under my breath. I don't understand why, but this news hit me like a freight train. I mean, I get that all we'd lost could be recovered and that Cybertron might be revived, but nevertheless, while the others rejoiced, a knot of anxiety formed in my chest. Even though it was a chance to see our home planet again, I couldn't help but think of Halo.

I took a quick look at my teammates. Ratchet's laughter filled the air, something rare and joyful, yet it felt hollow to me. Optimus stood, still reeling from the weight of the message.

"Pack your gear. We're going back to Cybertron!" Bulkhead cheered.

": I still can't believe we can go back:" Bumblebee added, his voice full of wonder. Ratchet was practically beaming.

"Well, believe it now, Bumblebee. Civilization, at last" Ratchet said. Smokescreen, always the outlier, looked a little lost.

"But I just got here..." He muttered under his breath.

"Remember oil baths?" Arcee mentioned, then added, "The first thing I'm gonna do planet side is soak for an entire solar cycle."

I smiled at the idea of an oil bath. It was a little ironic and sad because, although it hadn't been that long for me, it must have seemed like an eternity to them. I had enjoyed taking oil baths on the Nemesis before I ran away but since I hadn't had one in only 10 years, it didn't feel like the first thing I would do when we returned home.

"I can't wait to tell Miko..." His voice trailed off, the realization of what leaving would mean hit him. It was then that the midst of their excitement, reality began to set in for some of them. Miko, Jack, Raf, Halo... they would all be left behind.

"And Jack," Arcee added, a similar look of sorrow flickering across her face.

": And Raf:" Bumblebee added as well. I bit my bottom lip, trying to control the storm of emotions that was rising within me.

"Uh... Optimus, keys open doors. Can they really revive an entire planet?" Smokescreen broke the silence. Optimus turned to him, his voice steady but worn.
