Ch. 10 Trust

A was a school night and Halo had to stay behind after school today to work on some project with a group of people, which meant that I was left alone at the Autobot base until he returned. I had intended to spend the entire day in my room and just wait, but my body was starting to ache really badly. A seeker wasn't meant to be imprisoned in a closed enclosure for long periods. It causes their body to ache badly especially their wings.

":: Ratchet, Decepticon ambush::" I heard as soon as I walked into the main room. I saw Miko, the human girl, and the Autobot wrecker and the doctor were the only ones in the room at the moment.

":: The cylinder is at risk. We require backup::" Optimus's voice came from the main frame. It sounded like this cylinder thing must be important by how he spoke.

"Backup is what I'm built for" Bulkhead said as he rose from his seat next to the human area and prepared to assist Team Prime in battling the Decepticons and retreating this cylinder.

"Go bend some fenders, Bulk" Miko said running down the platform as Bulkhead ran off into the Groundbridge. I sometimes just want to run into the Groundbridge myself for some fresh air.

"I have an important mission for you, too, Miko" Ratchet said approaching Miko.

"Really?" Miko asked excitedly until Ratchet raised a mop which made her exciting face quickly drop down. Ratchet walked away and I watched Miko's face turn from a frown to a grin. She looked at Ratchet before running down the rest of the way down the platform and into the Groundbridge that was still open. It closed as soon as Miko disappeared into it.

": Ahem, medic..." I called entering the main room.

"Tsk, not now. Can't you see that I'm busy" He said. I raise an eyebrow and roll my eyes.

": I see that, but I am pretty sure you want to know that...:" I began but was quickly interrupted as he turned around to face me.

"Listen, I don't care what you got to, ok. If you need something just wait until Optimus or the others come back. I am really busy to help you out" He said. Just then, Miko's voice came from the main frame.

":: Ratchet, come in::" the sound of fighting and metal clashing against metal could be heard in the background.

"Miko? This is an emergency channel. We need to keep it open for the auto... Wait. Where are you?" Ratchet asked when he heard the sound in the background. He looked around as if trying to look for Miko inside the base, but she wasn't there. I sighed and rolled my optics.

":: I'm with the thingamabob::" Miko replied.

"Thingama... the data cylinder!" Ratchet exclaimed. Miko quickly replied with a quick "yes" from the other side.

":: Can you bridge it out of here?::" Miko asked.

"I'll reactivate arrival coordinates" Ratchet told Miko and quickly opened the Groundbridge.

":: Dude, can you open it any closer?::" Miko asked.

"Supply coordinates" Ratchet said.

":: Um...50 yards?::" Miko answered. I rubbed my helm as a small chuckle left my _. 

"Precise coordinates" Ratchet replied annoyed. Just then, the sound of fighting sounded like it got closer and the line Immediately got cut off.

"Miko! Miko!" Ratchet called but no reply came back.

": I tried warning you, but seems like even if I did try to earn your guy's trust doesn't look like you guys will let me:" I said and walked away. 

I don't know what happened out there, but from what I understand, the Decepticon took the cylinder but not before Bulkhead got zapped with the cylinder which contained data to create a synthetic Energon. I wasn't informed personally of the full details of what happened but I also heard Optimus and Ratchet speaking about how the data was slowly consuming Bulkhead's mind, and by the time the formula was complete, Bulkhead's mind might be gone altogether.
