Ch. 5 Kidnap

Halo POV

In order to properly repair her injured body, NightWave locked herself in the garage. It was Monday and getting close to three o'clock. NightWave informed the school that I was ill and unable to attend today.

"Night, are you finished?" NightWave was on her bi-pedal mode and attempting to fix her wings as I asked.

"Need help?" I wondered. NightWave handed me some human-sized tools to assist her in fixing her back as she grumbled and nodded. I took the tools, and with NightWave's assistance, I reached her back. Even if the final repairs weren't the finest, they were at least sealed with better materials than the rusty old factory metal parts.

"How is your human form and cloaking device?" I questioned as I put the tools away. NightWave shifted to her alt-mode before activating her human form.

": Good. I also repaired my cloaking device, and it appears to be working now. Let's hope the Autobots can't detect my life signal:" she answered. I frowned and then nodded.

"And what about Energon energy?" I questioned. NightWave sighed.

": Low. Just enough to get by for a maximum of two or three days. Tomorrow, I'll try hunting for more Energon" she said. I nodded.

NightWave stayed in her alt-mode for pretty much the rest of the day, using as low Energon as she could without using her human form. When Jack and the others texted me to ask why I wasn't at school, I replied that I wasn't feeling well.

NightWave POV

Two days have passed since the event in the cave. Fortunately, nothing horrible had occurred recently. I was going to go outside today to look for a new Energon signal. I first took Halo to school.

"Aw, why can't I go with you?" Halo asked as we pulled into the school parking lot. I sighed and shook my head.

": Halo, I told you I couldn't bring you along today. I won't permitted you to miss class again. Go home by yourself today since I might not be able to pick you up:" I said. Halo nodded as he walked outside.

"I'll see you later, Mom" Halo said. I nodded and waved farewell before leaving Jasper Nevada in search of a fresh Energon signal.

*TIME SKIP*

It took me awhile to locate a fresh Energon signal, but after an extended 5 hour hunt, I did. I collected as many of the Energon crystals as I could before returning home and storing them in the basement. I realized I had finished barely in time to pick Halo up from school when I looked at the clock.

I got to Halo's school just as everyone started to leave. I waited for a while, but I never saw Halo appear. I tried to contact him, but I got send to voicemail. I frowned.

"That's strange" I said out loud. If Halo fails to return my calls, he usually messages me instead. I attempted to track his phone signal, but it was down. I exited my alt-mode and made my way to a few people outside the school. It didn't take me long to recognize that one of those people was that unpleasant kid who always flirts with me, and another was the rude kid Halo frequently hangs around with. 

": Excuse me:" I called to gain their attention. I could feel right away the prevent kid's attention on my human body but I quickly tried to ignored it.

"Huh, what can we help you with, Miss Nyx?" reddish-orange hair and green eyes of a lovely girl asked. I was about to speak out loud until the obnoxious kid jumped in front of me.

"It's great to see you again. I got you something" the young boy remarked and he revealed a pair of red and white roses. He passed the flowers into my hands before I could reject them. I sighed.
