Josh and I sit hand in hand at Kaira's house. Everyone gathers around as Josh has his mom and dad on the phone waiting to hear the gender of the baby.
"The suspense is killing me here." Kaira giggles as she sits in Erik's lap.
"It's a girl." I smile and everyone squeals intensity.
"We finally got a girl in the family." I hear and laugh as Josh's mom squeals then sniffs over the phone.
"Hey." Kaira whines.
"Honey. You are the only girl in the family since you were born. Everyone else has been boys since." Their mom laughs over the phone and we all join in.
"I can't wait to spoil her." Kaira rubs her hands together. "Oh wait until we tell Kate!"
"Do you have a name yet?" Jade looks over.
"Not yet." I smile and he nods before standing up and walking over.
Jade hugs me tight and I pat his back. He pulls back and smiles. "You know Aunt Rachel, Mommy would be so happy for you too."
Just like that my eyes blur and I suck in a quiet breath. "I know." I nod and force a smile. I miss my sister so very much but know she is watching over.
Josh rubs my back and Jade turns walking back over to Samuel as Simon runs over to my lap. I pick him up and he sits on my legs. "Baby girl. Where is she?"
"She is in here still." I move a hand to my bump and Simon frowns.
"Can't play then."
I laugh lightly. "No, not for a while yet."
He frowns and shrugs before turning to look at Jade and Samuel as they play as game of checkers on the floor. "Flip. I get to flip the piece." Simon wiggles down from my legs and runs over to flip the piece to the King side since Samuel got across the board. I smile seeing how they have Simon help them and even though it is a small part it is a large thing for Simon being able to play and help.
"What time is the wedding again?" Dylan speaks up and my head turns to the phone on the table.
"Noon." I reply and Josh nods while his arm slides behind my back and pulls me closer.
"See you all in four days!" I hear Josh's mom happily exclaim before the phone line is cut, making Josh and Kaira laugh.
"Do you have everything you need for the food?" I look to Kaira and she waves her hand with a nod.
"Oh, yes. I am so ready to cook everything up too." Kaira smiles wide.
"It is at the dock right?" Erik looks over.
Josh and I nod. "The boat shop is actually closed on Friday when Saul found out that is the big day." Josh chuckles.
We talk for a few more minutes before Josh and I stand from the couch and Jade helps to clean the chekers up. "See you soon!" Kaira squirms with a smile and hugs me tight.
