34. Flapjacks

The front door bursts open and Jade comes running in. "Did you propose? Did she say yes?"

"I did and she did." I smile at his excitement. "I am currently making some brunch, Rachel is still sleeping."

Jade nods. "I will put my bag in my room and come help out."

Erik smirks leaning against the counter. "Had a long night? Did she say yes?"

I smirk with a nod and he winks with a smile. "Happy for you man."

"Thanks." I flip the flapjack and then place the spatual down. "How was the trampoline park?"

"The boys had so much fun. Kaira watched while biting her nails at one point when Samuel and Jade got competitive with who would get the highest jump, Simon cheered them on."

A laugh comes from my lips. "Sounds like a fun time."

Jade comes bouncing back in and Erik waves before leaving. I look to Jade as he washes his hands. "Samuel didn't come to bring you home?"

Jade shakes his head. "He stayed at his house because he hadn't gotten a paper finished for our history class."

"Is your's done?"

"I plan to finish it today."

"How about you go tend to that, I have the cooking under control." I smirk as he sighs and nods before moving to the living room and pulling his things out to finish his paper. Chuckles and Princess lay next to him as his binder is in his lap and the pencil in hand moving quickly.

Sausage links, eggs, flapjacks, and fresh fruit line the counter. "Food is ready." I look up and Jade smiles as he places his schoolwork on the coffee table and I walk to the bedroom.

Rachel is still sleeping when I enter. My feet move over to the bed and I lean down kissing her cheek. Her eyes flutter open and she smiles softly.

"Hi. What time is it?"

"Almost eleven." I smile and she sits up quickly. "Jade is home and I got us a brunch made up."

"Philly cheesesteak?"

I shake my head. "Flapjacks."

Rachel pouts. "Those sound good too I guess."

I laugh quietly. "How about I make those for dinner?"

"Really?" She turns to look at me and I nod. "Even though you made them for us yesterday?"

"For you, my love, I will make them daily and then make something else for Jade and I if we don't want them."

Rachel giggles. "Right because I can't expect you both to eat them as much as I can right now but those really just taste so good and paired with lemonade." She moans.

As she walks into the bathroom, I adjust my pants and take a slow breathe. Think about something to get the boner to go away.

Finally able to walk, I go back to the kitchen and Jade is giving a grape to Chuckles. Princess is eating on a small part of a flapjack. Washing my hands, I fix a plate for Rachel and place it on the counter before making mine and pulling out some orange juice to fill the glasses with.

"Thanks." Rachel sits in the chair and adds whip cream to her flapjacks and fruit. While Jade grabs the maple syrup. "You're weird."

"Am not." I defend myself for eating my flapjacks with only fruit on it.

Light chatter goes on as we listen to Jade talk about his paper for history and how he enjoyed himself at the trampoline park. Laughter fills the air with ease. Rachel and I clean the kitchen together as Jade gets back to his papers.

Rachel flips a show on tv as we sit down on the couch and I see it is one of those crime things or ones not solved. Still she watches it closely and curls into my side as Jade writes on his paper still.

"How much longer before you're finished?" I whisper to Jade.

"Writing the conclusion now." He glances up.

I go back to the show and hold Rachel close. Jade stands and sighs, before going to his room and I see him sit on the end of his bed with a controller in hand.

Rachel sits up and looks to me, so I raise an eyebrow.

"Would you like to move in?"

My mouth opens and closes. "Are you ready for me to move in?"

Rachel nods. "Yes and I know that Jade is happy with the idea of it too."

"I would like to move in." I smile and she leans over kisses my lips briefly.

"Good let's get you moved in." She smiles wide and my mouth opens once again as she raises from the couch. "Come on slow poke."

"Like now? Right now?"

"Yes. I hate when you go back to the apartment and I have to sleep alone." Rachel whines a bit and at the angle she stands, I can't help but smile at her small bump.

Raising up, I place my hands on her bump and carress ever so gently. Before moving my hands and grabbing her hips, pulling her down onto my lap so our faces are level. Kissing her softly before pulling back. "I don't own much so it won't take long it will be longer tending to the furniture in the apartment."

"Let's go get your things. We still need to get my car too from the boat shop."

I laugh and nod. "Okay."

Rachel gets up from my lap with a smile. "Jade." He walks into the living room quickly. "Josh agreed to move in."

Jade fist pumps the air and in no time we are all walking out the front door to my truck.

My phone pings and I pull it from my pocket as I lock up the front door. I see a message from Kaira and open it.

So happy for you and Rachel. Can't wait for the big day!

I smile and reply back with a 'thank you' before putting my phone into my pocket then walking to my truck. I get in and drive us to the apartment to pack up my things so that I can be with the love of my life every single day.
