"How was your class?" Cedric asked, falling in step with Cayden as they walked down the corridor.
"Well, it looks like I won the bet." Cayden said, huffing.
"That bad?" Cedric said, turning his head to look down at Cayden who stops and looks up at him. Cedric turns his body to face Cayden, watching the boy move from feet to feet. He places his hands on Cayden's shoulders. "What did he do?" He said softly, wondering what Lockhart has done for the boy to be acting like this.
"Release Cornish pixies." Cayden answered, leaning his body forwards and wraps his arms around Cedric. "He is so tiring, and it's only his first class." He said, feeling Cedric wrap his arms around him and rub his back.
"It'll be okay." Cedric said, comforting Cayden the best he can by hugging the boy. And it seems to work as he feels Cayden's shoulders slumping down slowly. "Do you want to go flying?" He asked, letting Cayden pull away from him to look up at him.
"Flying?" Cayden asked, cocking his head to the side slightly.
Cedric smiles, finding Cayden's cocked head to be the same as a dog. "Yes. Flying." He said. "Just be on a broom and relax, I'm sure we have time." He said, watching Cayden think about it in his head and knows exactly what Cayden is thinking about. "I'm sure Marcus Flint wouldn't mind." He said. "Remember, we're just flying around to relax, not practice for Quidditch."
Cayden thinks about it again before a smile takes over his face, looking up at Cedric who slowly returns the smile. Already knowing that he's already made his mind just by his smile.
Cedric jerks his head where he knows is the way to the Quidditch pitch. "Let's go." He said, holding out his hand to Cayden who took it and they made their way to the Quidditch pitch. Never letting go of each other's hands until they were at the Quidditch pitch and is in a conversation with Marcus Flint to get his permission to fly around the Quidditch pitch.
"You will only fly around?" Flint asked, looking at the two Hufflepuff standing in front of him.
"Yes, trust us." Cedric said.
"And whose idea was this?" Flint asked.
"Mine." Cayden said before Cedric could open his mouth, making the older Hufflepuff glance at him in the corner of his eyes before understanding why he had said it was his idea.
Flint thinks about it in his head for a few seconds before nodding. "Alright, go ahead." He said, nodding to them before walking back to his teammates who were acting like they weren't listening to their conversation.
Cayden turns his body to look at Cedric. "Where are we going to get a broom?" He questioned, following Cedric who is making his way into the changing room.
"Changing room." Cedric said, opening the door to the changing room and smiles when he found the spare brooms leaning against the wall. "There we go." He said, taking a broom from the wall and gives it to Cayden before taking his own broom from the wall. "C'mon." He said, walking out of the changing room with Cayden jogging behind him to keep up with him. Cedric notices this and slows down, letting Cayden catch up to him.
Cayden looks up at the sky where he can see the Slytherin Quidditch team practicing for their match. He looked back down to Cedric where he was watching him with a soft smile. "What?" He questioned, wondering why he was staring at him.
Cedric shakes his head, smiling softly. "Your eyes look more blue here." He said, watching as a small blush makes itself known on Cayden's neck up to his face. "It's beautiful." He compliments, chuckling when Cayden lets out a flustered squawk. "Now, let's go fly up there." He said, mounting his broom and waits for Cayden to do the same.
