Cayden and Cedric walk into the Hufflepuff common room together, each holding a golden egg. They were instantly greeted with loud cheer and hearty back slaps.

Cayden gives his egg to Susan Bones, who places it on a table and wraps her arms around him who returns the gesture. He smiles when Susan pats his back proudly like a mother would, pulling away from her to join Elias by the couch. He sat down next to Elias, watching Cedric get congratulated by the others.

"Why do I have a feeling that you were supposed to fight the Hungarian Horntail?" Elias said, turning his head to look at Cayden.

"I was." Cayden said, leaning his head back on the couch, head turned towards Elias. "Viktor picked it." He said, watching Elias raise his eyebrows at that. "He heard about Harry's bad luck for the past three years we've been at Hogwarts." He explained, watching Elias eyebrows almost raised to his hairline.

"It kinda sounds like he likes you, Cayden." Elias said, leaning back against the couch, looking at Cedric who is talking with Malia about something. Whatever it is, it seems to get Cedric to wrap his arms around her, a proud smile on his face. He looks away when he notices Malia tearing up, giving her privacy.

Cayden shrugs, not denying it, turning his head to look at Cedric who has now pulled away from Malia. He looks at the golden egg in front of him on the table. "I wonder what's in the egg." He voiced out his thoughts, looking at Cedric, who was walking towards them and joined him on the couch.

"Let's open it and find out." Cedric said, placing his golden egg on his lap and opens it. Instantly regretting it when a horrible screeching wail fills the room. He snaps shut the egg before it could hurt their ears any more.

"Bloody hell." Elias said, rubbing his ears, and sighed in relief when he found out he didn't lose his hearing.

"What the hell was that!" Malia exclaimed, looking at Cedric who is looking guiltily at everyone.

"That sounds familiar to me." Cayden said, turning his head to look at Cedric who looks down at him with raised eyebrows.

"You do?" Cedric questioned, wondering how Cayden recognized the screeching wail.

"Yes, from a book." Cayden said, nodding, looking for the creature he's thinking about in his mind and snaps his fingers when he got it. "Mermish. They're Mermish." He said. "You can listen to these clearly from under the water." He said, watching Cedric raise his eyebrows at that.

"What?" Elias questioned, looking at Cayden and Cedric.

"If you put the egg under the water." Cayden explained slowly, looking at both Elias and Cedric. "You can hear the screeching clearly." He said. "They're singing if you put it under the water."

"Should we go to the Prefect bathroom then?" Cedric asked, standing up without waiting for Cayden's response.

"Wait, we?" Cayden questioned, looking up at Cedric with confusion.

"Yes, we." Cedric said, taking his golden egg, waiting for Cayden to stand up. He nodded his head to the door. "C'mon." He said, watching Cayden stand up, stopping him from picking up the golden egg. "Let's just use mine." He said, Cayden nodded and started walking out of the common room.

Cayden turns the ring on his finger, turning invisible and follows Cedric to the Prefect bathroom. He watches Cedric say the password and enters the bathroom when Cedric makes a way for him to enter first before entering himself, closing the door behind him while he's at it.

Cayden looks around the bathroom in awe, following Cedric farther into the bathroom. He looks at the big bathtub, turning his head to look at Cedric who is looking at him affectionately. "Ced, this is awesome!" He said, letting out a soft laugh making Cedric smiles.
