Cayden is writing in his diary, Hermione is collecting flowers in the distance, Harry is looking at a mirror shard, and Ron is fiddling with the radio again. Cayden draws the locket in his diary, writing what's the locket has done since then.

He feels someone sit next to him and turns his head, letting go of his diary to help Ron sits down next to him.

"Thanks." Ron said, groaning lightly as he make himself comfortable beside the Hufflepuff. He looks at the diary that is in Cayden's grasp again. "Do you think I'll be able to read it?"

"You can." Cayden said, glancing at Harry and Hermione talking with each other before looking away. "What ever happens to you and Harper?" He asked, giving the diary to Ron who took it and starts reading it.

"We found out we didn't like each other that way." Ron answered.

Cayden nods, not saying anything to that.

Ron turns his head to look at Cayden, raising an eyebrow. "Not gonna ask me who he's dating now?"

Cayden raised his eyebrows. "He's dating someone?"

Ron nods, looking down at the diary. "Marcus Flint."

Cayden snapped his head to look at Ron, eyes wide and mouth gaped. "That... surprised me."

"Why's that?" Ron asked, confused, turning his head to look at Cayden.

"They hated each other's guts." Cayden said, looking up at Ron. "They couldn't even be in each other's presence without scowling."

"How do you know this?" Ron asked.

"I'm friends with everyone, Ron." Cayden answered, smiling softly up at Ron who returns the smile. "Welp." He sighs, leaning up to peck Ron's cheek, who leaned down for him. "I'm gonna go to sleep, enjoy reading." He said, standing up and goes to the bed.

Cayden was awoken by Ron, who shakes his body to wake him up. He instantly woke up and rubs his eyes, sits up and follows Ron to the tent flaps.

Ron pushes past the tent flap, peering into the darkness. In the distance, both he and Cayden sees Harry and Hermione standing close to each other.

"What're they doing out there?" Cayden questioned, looking at Harry and Hermione.

"I don't know..." Ron responded.

Cayden walks next to Ron, reading his diary to pass the time.

Then, faintly so faint it can barely be heard at first, a soft whistling sound rises on the breeze.

Harry stops, listening, then turns. Hermione trailing a few feet behind, stops, eyeing him questioningly.

The whistling is ear-splitting now, more of a roar, as the four scarper into a listing barn and throw shut the doors. As they peer upward through the skeletal remains of the hayloft, their faces lashed with light, they see a succession of Death Eaters strafe the blue above. The rotting timber buzzes and bats dance crazily in the loft above. Gradually, the sound recedes. The bats settle.

Cayden and Ron trails after Harry and Hermione. Ron glances about sullenly, staring at the forsaken landscape, then looks up ahead to Harry and Hermione. The sight of them, walking side-by-side, does nothing to improve his mood.
