"Emily! Emily, wake up!" A woman's voice was shouting at Emily, and Emily was trying to sleep.
"Go away," she said, grumpily.
"Emily, it's me. Sera." Emily's eyes shot open at this news.
"Where are we?" she asked. Emily looked around. She was in a land of darkness. She couldn't see anything around her but pure black. The only thing shining ahead of her was Sera.
"I'm not sure this is a place. I have something to tell you. You're asleep right now. We're in a dream, but I'm actually here."
Emily was suspicious. "How do I know it's you and not a version of you my mind has made up?" she asked.
"Just trust me. I'm here because I have some important information for you." The seraphim looked concerned.
"Wait, what's going on?"
"I've got good news and bad news. The good news is, that Heaven has been talking, and there's a chance we'll allow souls to be redeemed."
Emily's eyes sparkled. "Wait, really? How? Why?" She had forgotten that Sera had bad news yet to come for her.
"Things have been out of control since you descended into Hell. Emily, so many angels are worried about you right now. Your hopeful, positive energy keeps things in line. People are always excited to wake up and experience another happy day in Heaven. However, when you left, people were worried sick about you. The top angels held a meeting. God wasn't there, but we might need to call him in to decide. Some amazing points for both sides were brought up. In the end, about 63% of the angels voted for you and your dreams. You might have a chance."
While this was incredible news, Charlie had a question weighing on her chest. "I'm assuming you voted for sinners to stay in Hell, yes?"
Sera gave Emily a soft, sympathetic smile. "I know we had a big fight, but I've been thinking. I really believe there's a way to make this work. I love you, Emily, and if there's a way, I'll always support you. I voted for you."
Emily's heart grew warm. "You did?" she asked.
"Of course I did. However, there's still bad news."
A shiver ran down Emily's spine. Judging from Sera's grim expression, she knew it was going to be extremely bad. "What is it?"
"As you know, there are still many angels that disagree with Hazbin Hotel. However, the angels who disagree are some of Heaven's most powerful angels. I don't know exactly who these angels are other than Lute, but she's much too busy mourning Adam's death to worry about getting her revenge. I'm not sure who, but gossip is going around Heaven that a powerful angel will find a way to stop you."
Emily gasped. "No! Charlie has worked so hard to get this hotel the way it is!"
"I'm sorry, I don't think I can help you, Em. If there's anything I can do, I'll do it in a heartbeat."
Emily hugged Sera. "Thank you so much, Sera. Even if you can't physically fight, you came all the way into my mind just to warn me. You're so amazing."
Sera hugged her back. "I'd do anything for you." Sadly, their bonding moment was cut short. Black, shadowy tendrils reached out and grabbed Sera, pulling her out of the moment. "No! I'm not done!" She struggled, trying to break free. "Emily, my time's up. Remember what I said; you'll need it!" Sera sank further into the darkness until only her eyes shimmered in the ominous black. With that, Emily woke up in a cold sweat.
