Chapter thirty-eight

A/N: Hey guys sorry it took me so long to upload this I've been stuck with writers block after my exams but I'm getting into a routine again now and hopefully within the next few months i should be back to one post a week but at the minute it will be once a fortnight sorry for this disappointment but I've been struggling recently. As Rosie hugged us all again for the millionth time she walked out of the door holding Stephs hand. As she got in the car I could see she was a bit upset but I knew she would call me before they even left the country so I knew she would be alright. As Steph drove off she waved to us and blew kisses as we blew them back, I stayed with Viv as Steph's car disappeared down the road out of our eyesight. We both stepped back in with a big sigh knowing she was going to be ok.

Steph's POV

We arrived back at my house, and with no surprise Caitlin was right behind us, Katie dropping her off as she greeted Rosie and Calvin before greeting me.

We all walked inside the house and made our way to the living room with Calvin attached to my side as I carried Rosie. We walked into the living room to find Dean watching some film on Netflix.

As he heard us come in he looked over, I felt Rosie's grip on me tighten, I walked into the kitchen and placed her on a chair before removing one side of her ear defenders.

"Hey there's no need to be scared, that's just Dean, he's pretty silly at times and I'm sure if you're brave he will give you some of his chocolate stash" Her eyes lit up at the mention of chocolate. I know Leah mentioned her liking chocolate but not enough to make her eyes light up like that, the only other time I saw her like that was when she met Win for the first time.

I picked her back up as she pulled her ear defender back onto her ear and we made our way to the sofa. I sat down next to Dean as Caitlin and Rosie, who I had put there before I sat down, sat on the other one, Calvin still not leaving her side.

I paused the film on the TV as me and Caitlin spoke, Dean joining in occasionally, Rosie was a bit quiet but soon after she got a bit more chatty, especially when Dean mentioned dogs. She spoke all about Coco, like she had love hearts in her eyes.

I felt my phone get a message as I looked it was Leah.

Leah: Hey so probably all you need to know is she was diagnosed with Autism and she's quite high up on the spectrum, she doesn't like it when it's too loud hence the ear defenders and sometimes the lights can bother her. She doesn't like it when she's got wet socks, or any wet clothes that aren't swim stuff actually. She hates going to sleep with long pants on and sometimes she might not ask for help directly but you'll know when she does need help, sometimes she gives me these cute puppy eyes that I just can't resist. If there's anything else i'll let you know

Leah: How's she getting on?

Steph: Yeah she's doing good, her eyes literally do light up when you mention chocolate or dogs haha

Leah: Yeah I think she would choose them over me if i'm honest haha

Steph: Yeah she was nervous at first but shes ok now

I had completely forgotten that Dean was going out tonight with a few of his friends. A loud beep came from outside, which made Rosie cover her ears as she had taken her ear defenders off.

"Hey i'm off now im only gonna have a couple and i'll be back around 11 so I can drive you all to the airport" He said as he got up, he kissed me good bye then said bye to Rosie Caitlin and Calvin as he walked out slipping his shoes and coat on shouting bye once more as he shut the door.
