Chapter seventy-two
“Is the Momma drama over for Natalia and Eminem?”
“Has Kim Mather’s finally taken the hint?”
“We don’t know…”
“But one thing is for certain”
“Eminem…”
“also know as Marshall Mathers and…”
“Natalia Mathers are…”
“In the family now!”
Febuary 12,
Dear Diary ,
I’m back home now, we finally are back in Detroit, and I don’ t even mind the dust in the air or the overloaded newspapers. I don’t even care if I’m seven months pregnant and officially have stopped trying to fit into my material jeans! I’m just utterly happy to be home. I’m utterly happy to be with my husband who for the me and the baby has canceled tours and concerts for the next new year so he could be with me and the baby.
Marshall’s POV:
“Dad!” shouted Hailie. “Dad!” she yelled again, “I’m in the studio baby!” I shouted. Natalia and I shared the studio now. Her desk was neater then mine, her books were nicely stacked and had photos of the girls all grouped together on the side. Hailie walked into the room out of breathe with a school paper in hand, “Dad, could I go to this field trip” she asked. “What field trip babe?” asked Marshall, “The beach museum field trip” she said.
“How much is it?” he asked as he reached into his pocket.
“Ten dollars”
“For the entire thing?” Natalia questioned.
“Yeah” said Hailie. Marshall gave Hailie a twenty as she gave him a kiss, “Thanks daddy!” she cooed.
Hailie skipped out. I chuckled in my fatherly pride, “You do realize of course your daughter pulled a good one on you?” Natalia chuckled. “What you mean?” I smiled,
“First of all, Beach Museum? Second ten dollars for the whole thing?”
I giggled to myself; Natalia shut her book and put it under her arm as she struggled to get up. She kissed my temple and said, “Your daughter dooped ya!” she said. It dawned on me then that Natalia was probably right. My eyes popped from my sockets but I couldn’t help to smile. She giggled as she said, “You’re too cute!” My heart pound at the sight of her grey eyes glowing from the afternoon sun. It is the most beautiful thing you can ever see. “I’m gonna go to the bathroom again” she said with excitement. I chuckled, “You’re excited for that?” I asked. “No! But I’m excited for using the new toilet paper holder!” she exclaimed. I laughed giving her one last kiss before she left.
Life was simple now for me I guess. My new album is undergone, Natalia has her color back, and Laney is passing college! Life was…Perfect. Ring! Ring! My heart drop to the floor. The house phone rang like a unpleasant visitor. I held the pencil frozen in my hand, my eyes didn’t blink, and my breathing was lost. I slowly reached for the phone before I heard, “I’ll get it!” I snapped out of the daze, “Hailie Jade no!” I shouted. I could hear her footsteps stop at the edge of the stairs. Ring! Ring!... Ring! Ring! I picked up the phone slowly.
I cleared my throat, “Hello?” “Hello?” I asked.
“So you thought you could just leave without telling me where you were taking my girls, you son of a bitch!”
