Ch 3 Alpha Connection

*Betty Joyce's POV*

I did not expect the Alpha to show up at the school so suddenly. After I seen what Mona did to May and that bitch Reyna who distracted me I wanted to tear all their throats out. I quickly knocked out Reyna once I got my senses back from her cheap tricks and tried to go after May. I could not find her in the washrooms nor under the stairs as well. Shit I lost her. I quickly texted Alpha SOS Incident at School. After five minutes I received a text back from him saying he was on his way. I walked towards the back of the building that is secluded from prying eyes. I wanted to explain what happened in private. After 3 minutes the alpha shows up in shades and a hoodie looking so suspicious. "Did you really have to show up looking like a spy" I asked him. "Hush I want to know what happened to your friend" He replied while looking left to right. I started to tell him about how the day started we helped get her dressed for picture day, I ushered her into English. I did admit I messed up got her made fun of which he was not too happy about, but he cannot say anything she was my best friend before I started to work for him. I then recapped the whole gym experience that got him really angry. He was pissed at Mona and recently he has become increasingly pissed at her for her actions.

My agreement with the Alpha only started one month ago. He approached me at a party I attended with May and Lilly Rae I thought he was super hot. He was super tall with curly brown hair and lovely chiseled jaw with lips you could kiss for hours. Do not get me started on his body he was skinny lanky but housed many muscles on his biceps and legs he was someone you cannot underestimate at all. Since I needed some extra money and wanted to throw my name in the bucket for head security detail after I graduated the academy I thought to work for the Alpha and supply him with the information he wanted. Mostly he was paying me to keep Mona away from her since he did not want to see her suffer. I could not understand why the Alpha was interested in May. First I thought it was a crush but he assured me he just did not like people getting bullied. I hated that I was lying to my best friend in a sense, but I have been her savior since we were young, I care about her and was there for her when her parents passed away. I am sure when the time comes May will forgive me for spying on her.

"Make sure you bring her to the pack recruitment ceremony in 11 days I want her to try for my pack fairly" he said. I nodded my head. It was not a bad idea; he was the Alpha's son of the Sundance pack which was the second largest pack in our city behind the Moondusk pack. "Sure, I will make sure she attends and is dressed up" I reply. I then accepted my money and went back only to start lunch. I use my phone and try to call May she put her phone to voicemail. I knew she needed time for herself and was probably upset after what happened; I mean who wouldn't be upset being disrespected like that. I prayed to the Moon Goddess that May would be alright and that Mona would be punished for her bad deeds. I find Lilly Rae outside the washroom fixing her makeup and start eating my lunch.

*Ben's POV*

I received a text from Betty Joyce letting me know that something has happened. I let out a growl and grab a hoodie out of my closet with some shades from my dresser. It has been a month since I hired Betty to watch May and I have to say Mona is starting to piss me off. I first seen May at a party I attended last month she was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie while drinking beer out a solo cup. She had her long brown hair down and was wearing a tiny bit of makeup. Not sure why but my wolf was alerting me to go talk to her. I pushed myself to make my way in front of her until I saw the most pitiful girl spill her drink on May while she was just sitting down. May got up quickly took off her hoodie and underneath she was wearing a tank top. I could clearly see that May was curvy and had nice cleavage that suited her body frame. I could start to see people laughing at her arms with the pitiful girl and her two friends chiming in. I later learned that this happens constantly. I thought about why I was drawn to her. I mean she was not my type of women I prefer a slender looking woman with blonde hair but I guess my request got lost in translation for the Moon Goddess. Ever since then I have been following May from a distance as my wolf would not give it a rest he's too drawn to her and I still; for the love of the Moon Goddess cannot figure out why.

After my meeting with Betty Joyce, I met up with my best friend and right hand man Pedro. I knew Pedro since we were pups he is a high ranked Omega, his parents are super good friends with my family and have been our protectors since as long as we have known. "Pedro when are you going to find your mate?" I ask him. I see him tense up then reply "When you stop stalking that girl" I glare at him and give him a playful punch. Pedro knows about May and thinks she is my mate. I think that is not true and that the Moon Goddess just wants me to protect her like a sister; maybe I'm shallow but I'm going to be king one day. "So has the party plans been finalized?" I ask. "Ben, you know we been planning this party for half a year and it will be the biggest recruitment ceremony since you are the one throwing the bash" I smirk back at him. He was right I was worrying for nothing. We started planning this ceremony a long time ago since this is the first year, I will be examining potential pack members while impressing my parents. They are hoping I find my mate this year and been bugging me for a while. Why don't they bug my older sister Liz she is one year older than me and is still unmated. They should worry about her first. Pedro and I start to go over plans for the party coming up when my sister walks in. "Hey boys need any party help; you better buy lots of alcohol I am looking to have fun" she says. "Well Liz you know it's not about just drinking its about finding more suitable pack members so we are stronger than Moondusk" I reply. She is all about playing and drinking but does not think about anything serious in relation to the pack. Maybe it is because she is not mated yet and has nothing to look forward to. I hope she becomes sensible and does not embarrass me for this party. Liz smirks "whatever little bro lighten up" she smacks my arm and runs away. Typical. I continue to make my plans before starting my meeting with the elders of the pack.
