Ch. 16 Luna Lessons

*Ben's POV*

Ever since I found out May was my mate things were starting to make sense now. Why I had been so concerned with her for the longest time. I had been so consumed with the pack ceremony and finding a wife that I had not even thought about what to do when I found the one. I hope for my mate I can be the best partner and the best Alpha for the pack, it's a big ask for anyone especially with Arrow lurking around trying to start an active war.

The Moon Goddess does not make mistakes. I decided that I will try to be with her and give it a real shot. I mean she was not my type given the she-wolves I hang out with but through that all I still see beauty in her. I need to stop being so shallow but with the way I grew up can you blame a guy for being around beautiful women who throw themselves at me. Mostly for being the Alpha, with May she does not make a big deal of me being the Alpha, if anything she is mostly unphased with it all. I loved to see her squeal it drives my wolf mad. I had to stop and control myself after that small kiss with her. Her in my arms was just driving me crazy as her soft skin touched mine and her ample bosom brushing up on my chest. I knew if I continued, I would have pulled her onto that couch and gave her the best sex of her life, well the only sex of her life. My wolf has been driving me mad lately asking me to call her, see her and go running with her, because of him I cannot think straight. I spent all day waiting for her to finish class so I could call her. When I gave her a call yesterday, I could tell she was flirting back with me, she was warming up to me. It's cute how innocent she is. Looking at the time, it was around 3:30pm and May should be arriving soon. Excited? I know I am. Make sure to hold her hand again, said my wolf. I just swat him out my mind, he has been trying really hard to push me closer and closer to her. Afterall, I do not want to scare her away. I make my way to the courtyard passing by Pedro and Liz in the kitchen. "Liz, I want you in your room or away from May when she arrives. You sometimes are too head strong and I do not want you scaring my mate" I said. She put down her food and replied, "What? Scared I am going to tell her the truth about you? About all your She-wolves". How dare she! I snap back" Liz! You don't know what it is like. When you finally get your mate, you will understand. Until then back the fuck off and stay away!". I saw her look over to Pedro then run out. Crap. Maybe I was being too harsh. Pedro said, "Hey Ben, cool it a bit. You know you were a bit out of line. I am going to go check on her". "Tell her I say I am sorry. I did not mean to snap but my wolf has me on edge" I said. Pedro grinned and then said, "That's what happens when you find the one, your wolf drives you crazy and she is all you can think about. I know the feeling". I raised a brow, "sounds like someone found his mate but is keeping her a secret. Whoever she is I hope I get to meet her soon" I said. Pedro said quickly, "not me, but when I do, I will be sure to introduce her" he said. He took Liz's half eaten sandwich, added some cookies on the plate and a glass of water. I knew he is a good friend to her. Not long after that I checked my phone to see it was 3:49pm. One more minute. I make my way to the front of the courtyard just to see May pulling up in her car. She parks in the front and gets out. "Is it okay to park here?" she said. I nod my head, "Yes, well at least you are punctual. I will give you that. It would have been better if you are late, I could at least make fun of you a bit" I said. She playfully punched my arm and said, "Why Mr. Alpha at least I could do is be on time with you being so mean and all to me." Just hearing her flirting sounds so cute to me. Her voice was ringing in my ears and making me want to pick her up and kiss her again. We had business to take care of, I had to behave. "Shall we" I said while pointing towards the castle. "Lead the way Mr. Alpha" she said. We walked towards the front of the castle. She seemed to be looking around taking in the sights. I took the moment to show her around, I am sure on the pack tours she got to look around but since this place is so big seems fit to show her around again. I take her around the basics, the kitchen, bathroom, dining hall, studio, my quarters and the library. I let her wonder for a bit before we start our lessons. She took in all the sights and through it learning more about my life in the castle. Soon it will be hers as well and she can explore all my secret hiding spots with me. My mom hired an elder to come and teach us pack history. I have learned this before through my years being in this pack but I thought it might be better for May if I stayed and listened, so she had company in her lessons. We learned about the Moon Goddess, general pack duties, history of lycanthropy and pack marriage bonds. After our 2-hour lesson it was time for sparring lessons. "Ready to fight me" I asked. She looked at me then said, "You? I could take you in my sleep". I loved that confidence she had. Seems since Mona has left her alone, she has gained a new found confidence. She let out a yawn. It seemed she was very tired after all the lectures we went through I would expect it. We make our way to the back courtyard where there is a sparring ring. Over there one of the pack security detail was waiting in the ring for us. "Welcome to the ring. Both of you will be learning how to defend and protect yourselves against any attack. Take this opportunity to learn each other's movement and mine. I will act as the predator" she said. We take our positions with the trainer facing us. While she attacks one move after another she barks orders and teaches us the defense moves. May was not doing badly at all. It seemed as if she was super-fast as she dodged every attacked and was able to do damage even knocking the trainer on her ass. "Who taught you how to fight like that?" she asked May. "Oh, I learnt everything from school and my friend Betty" she replied. Even with guidance the moves and attacks she was displaying was more than a beginners level, she was showing mastery. "Whoever taught you, the strength, speed and agility you have is exceptional" the trainer said. May got all shy. I could tell after the complement she seemed to be very reserved, I will ask her about it another day. We spared for a bit more then take a break, it was at that moment I noticed we only have 30 minutes left in my allotted time. "Time for us to go. Thanks for the lesson. See you tomorrow" I said to the trainer. We packed our bags and headed to the kitchen. I got both of us water out of the fridge and we sat at the dining room table where our staff had already put out some fruit and nuts. I usually have a small snack after training. "How was today? Sure you can keep up with me" I ask. She wipes the sweat off her forehead and says, "Well Mr. Alpha I think you have to keep up with me.". I grinned at her. Just something about her is so interesting that she is not like the other girls I have been with, she is more down to earth. I spent the rest of the 30 minutes making small talk and learning a bit more about her even though she told me about the bullying that went on which I already knew about. That made me boil inside knowing that she was getting treated like that. No one on this planet should have to go through what she did. "Well, Mr. Alpha it is time for me to go. See you tomorrow". She was starting to walk towards the door with me behind her. Gosh I wanted to learn more about her. Guess I have to try again tomorrow. "What, no hug?" I ask. She was about to walk through the door when she turned around, slowly ran to me and gave me a tight hug. I felt I was blushing, she then let go and ran out the door. End of a great day.
