Ch. 24 The Dinner

*Ben's POV*

It was a fun night, everyone was gathered around the table and toasting to life. It was a great dinner as May was all better thanks to healing and we were ready to move forward with the wedding coming up in just a couple of days. I looked over at May laughing, Goddess did she look so beautiful. Jordan caught me looking over and had to embarrass me by letting everyone know I was creeping May. I shot him a stern look, but it did not work. They were all teasing me at this time. I tried to make up any excuse, but it was too late they had all had their fun at my expense! "Goddess this dinner was the best!" said May. I was glad she was enjoying it after all she has been through. We finish our dinner and end up moving the party to one of my recreation centers. It was a place where there was plenty of comfy space and games to play. We opted to sit so May was more comfortable in her healing and so we can talk wedding plans. It was only a couple of days away, but we had lots more to discuss. I sat down beside May and brushed her hand in mine. I slowly intertwined her fingers in mine, I could feel her blush. "Hey! No touching until your wedding day!" said Betty Joyce. I chuckled before answering, "She is mine already". It just made May blush more. "Let them hold hands, I think Ben needs the practice" said Pedro. I shot him a look before giving him a finger. "Thanks Mr. Virgin, like I'd take advice from you!" I shot back at him. At this point we were all chuckling. "So" said Lilly Rae, "I know things have been crazy but are we still on for the bachelorette and bachelor party for tomorrow?" I forgot that we still planned those parties. I looked over to May. "I am not a delicate flower; party is still on!" she said. Betty J and Liz started whooping, I know the two of them are up to something. "Just remember to keep it PG girls" I said. They knew what I meant, no strippers or any other man around May, I could not stomach the thought of another touching her when she is mine only. "Same rule applies to you," said Lilly. We all agreed that it will just be casual and nothing to crazy. May was going back to her old home to have her party, and the boys were most likely going to head into town to a bar to drink. We had one person decide all the details and for May it was Betty, and for me; Jordan planned the whole party.

We sat in the space for a little while longer before heading to bed. It was getting late, but I wanted to speak to May first. I needed to make up the last few weeks of hell that I put her through, and I would like to take her out. I turn and look at her, "May". She looks up into my eyes listening attentively as I begin to speak, "I want to go out with you tomorrow morning, I want to show you my softer side since I have been such a monster to you recently". May shifts in her seat before saying yes. It made me happy that she was able to be in the same room with me. I give her a kiss on the forehead before we make it upstairs. "In just a few days we will be living in the same quarters, do you find that weird" she said. I chuckled at her innocence, "As long as I am close to you, I might as well be the weirdest one in the world" I replied. May started to laugh as that was the corniest thing that I could say. I kissed her goodnight before heading to my room. The night was not over for me, I had to plan our date in the morning and make sure everything was perfect before we are separate for the bachelor night. I got to thinking of her interests and realized that I did not ask her what her favorite items are. I mindlinked her, May are you up? She replied Yes, What would you like Mr. Alpha. She was being very sassy. I began my question, what is your favorite activity, food and color? I waited a bit before she answered, I like Iced Coffee, talking with my friends, the woods, purple, fall, and Italian food. She was very specific that it was very helpful. I mindlinked her again, see you tomorrow morning. I went down to the kitchen and found the chef still cleaning up, I asked that he prepares some Italian dishes for the noon hour and if he can show me some coffee recipes so I could make some iced coffee for her. He agreed to help me before heading to his quarter. I grabbed the picnic items with a purple tablecloth and some board games. This would allow us to get to know each other in the activities we play. I brought all the items to my room and made a card for her before going to bed. When I wake up, I will gather fresh flowers from the woods and meet in the kitchen.

I woke up bright and early making sure I gather the fresh dewed flowers and make sure everything is in place. I mindlinked Jordan and Pedro explaining the plan and asked them to let Lilly and Betty know that May was mine in the morning. I was about to reach the kitchen when I saw Liz just walking in. "Liz, out all night again. I worry about your liver" I said. She gave me a death stare before whacking me behind my head. "Hey, let me live a little!" she said. I explained to her my plan before heading into the kitchen so everyone was informed to allow May and I the day. The Kitchen smelt so good with the chef working on all the dishes. They were all close to done. I worked up different recipes for the best iced coffee with some chocolate toppings I hope she would like. Just before noon I had all the items ready and headed up to her room. I barged in and was greeted by May in a sundress that hung to her curves in all the right places. Goddess, she looked so good! "Hey beautiful are you ready?" I said. She nooded before gathering beside me; I spun her around once complementing her outfit before heading on our way. We headed to my favorite spot in the garden where we drank the iced coffee. May and I spent time laughing and telling stories of our past including embarrassing ones. "Damn this iced coffee is so good, I cannot believe you made it" she said. "Hey! Have faith in me!" I replied before playfully pushing her shoulder. It was nice to see her smiling. "Ready for the next destination?" I said. She stood up and we headed towards the waterfall. I set up the purple tablecloth and set up the basket in the middle. "Is this why you were mindlinking me weird questions last night?" she asked. "Since I am your husband to be, I thought to know you a bit better and cater our date towards your likes" I replied. She really liked what I did. "OH MY GODDESS AND YOU GOT ITALIAN FOOD TOO!" she squealed. "Anything for my queen" I said and kissed her hand. We ate and laid in the cloth while taking in the sky and watching the waterfall. With boardgames laid out we were enjoying the view while our competitive sides were showing. May ended up winning a few rounds but ultimately, I won the last round. As the afternoon turned to nightfall I would say with certainty this was one of the better ones. "Remember what we did at this very waterfall last time" I said with a smirk. I saw her blush, "You mean when you attacked me" she replied. "Hey! Attack is a strong word, and I'd say you attacked my lips" I replied back. I knew she would remember what we did. "I think we should head back now, it is getting dark and the party should start soon" I said. She helped pack up and we headed back where everyone was waiting for us in the front. "Say your goodbyes as you won't see each other until you are married!" said Betty. I chuckled as she was on time. May and I kissed one last time before the festival began. I cannot wait until tomorrow.
