I walked into english class with Scott and Stiles, and the three of us sat in the second row from the front, taking the seat closest to the window. We were going to be having a new teacher for this class, Miss Blake, and I was praying she wasn't anything like Mr Harris. Or I actually might use my powers to convince my dad dropping out is an excellent idea. As I put my bag on the ground, I watched as Allison and Lydia stepped into the room, Lydia taking the seat besides Stiles at the opposite end of the row, leaving the last seat available was in front of Scott.

Fate is such a funny thing.

Allison approached the desk, awkwardly, looking at it before glancing at Scott, who was tapping his fingers together, looking around for another place for her to sit. "Is anyone-"

"No. No, no, no, no. No, it's all you, all yours." Scott ranted, and I lightly chuckled to myself at his awkwardness, as Allison took her seat. My eyes darted around the classroom once again, as I noticed Isaac wasn't here. He was usually in this class, and I know he literally can't get sick, so something must be going on with him - most likely to do with Erica and Boyd.

Over the summer, Isaac and I had actually gotten a lot closer, and I actually considered him to be a really good friend of mine. He also became a great source when it came to Derek, not that I cared about him as much anymore, but from what he'd told me he, Derek and Peter had been tracking the missing beta's for months with no luck. That and Derek had a new place that he'd been staying at, since his house had been taken, and I think neither he nor Derek wanted to stay at an abandoned subway station or a burnt down house, when there were no hunters to hide from anymore.

My phone then begins to ring, and I wonder if it is actually Isaac calling, though, to my surprise - everyone's phone starts to vibrate. I sighed, digging it out my pocket, expecting to see some sort of stupid photo someone decided to circulate around the school. Only it's a long piece of text from an unknown number, and before I can begin to read it, a woman walks into the room - whom I assume is our English teacher, and she begins to read it out for us. "'The offing was barred by a black bank of clouds and tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the earth flowed somber under an overcast sky, seemed to lead into the heart of an immense darkness.' This is the last line to the first book we are going to read. It is also the last text you will receive in this class. Phones off, everyone."

I sighed, obeying her and switching my phone off. The woman really knew how to make an entrance, and how to spoil a book. Our new teacher was pretty, with long brown hair and looked quite young to be teaching here. She also had a kind smile, so that's a good sign she won't be anything like Harris. We were assigned some work, and everyone groaned as we were forced to focus on the writing task. For some reason during the period we were working, Scott had been called out of lesson since his mom had apparently asked for him. I wasn't sure or not if it was serious, but I sure hoped not.

After 15 minutes more of working, I sighed, setting down my pen, and letting my eyes drift out the window. I furrowed my eyebrows, as I begun to realise, I couldn't take my eyes off of the window. Something about it was just so inticing to me, the same as when the deer had come, it was like everything around the room just...silenced.
