WHAT...There's no way daddy would agree, this bastard must be lying. I was so off guard I simply gaped at him.
"I guess it slipped your dad's memory. The night of the shindig you'll return with me to join my club. All in the name of peace."
"You're such a fucking liar, my dad wouldn't trade me."
"Believe me or don't. But he said you're not a team player... Always tryin' to escape everyone, he also said something about your obstinate mouth... Unlike your dad, I happen to like that about you, so why not become my ol' lady?"
"STOP. I-I need to use the restroom," I hurridly stood and would have ran if not for this stupid-ass dress.
I rushed past servers and patrons till I entered the lady's room. I went to each stall and bent down to check if I was alone. Once it was all clear I went to the door and turned the dead bolt. I stood at the mirrors and braced myself against the counter to stare at my reflection.
I can't believe dad would say that about me. Rush has to be lying... But he's never lied to me... I WANT to do something... No DO something, to punish them both.... What to do?
I stepped away from the sink and began pacing the length of the restroom.
I have to take care of Rush first.... Now what to do to him? It has to be something to keep him away for a few days... Hmmm. I tapped my chin with my clutch which reminded me of the drug I had in my purse.
I walked to the mirror and grinned in glee, revealing my smudged makeup.
First fix your makeup, then this noose noose of a skirt.
I reapplied foundation and lipstick before turning to my dress. I gripped the hem and tore the rouched hem from around the dress. I sighed in comfort at my newfound leg room. I took the fabric and folded it to fit in my clutch as I figured Oxy might want to re-attched it. I exited, head held high as I marched back to Rush's table. After I stepped past a server I saw that our table was empty. I turned and glanced around for Ransom, and smiled when I saw him.
"May I help you, miz?"
"Verity."
"Can I get you anything, Verity?"
"Do you know where my date is?" I rolled my eyes at the word date.
"He took a call outside, and that was about five minutes ago."
"Thank you, Ransom."
"Oh, your food should be out in ten minutes," he called to my back so I turned and grinned.
At my table I waited for Ransom to disappear before I grabbed Rush's wine glass. I discreetly took out the vial and squeezed a few droppers into his wine. I swished it around and sniffed it. I said a prayer, thankful it didn't have a smell, and placed his glass back. Since he was taking forever I took my phone and selected a group chat with the ladies.

more laterAs I put my phone back Rush sat down and sighed. I watched him grab for his glass and gulp the entire amount down. I began to sweat as I never expected him to down it like a shot. Unfortunately for him, I don't have enough sympathy to be too concerned. Before I could ask him if he liked the wine, Ransom arrived with our food.
"Hey man, we didn't order fries," Rush grabbed Ransom's arm.
"It's on the house," Ransom winked at me as he placed them beside my salad.
"Thanks," I glanced down so I wouldn't trigger Rush's jealousy.
"Enjoy your meal."
After we'd finished our meal the drug had taken full affect on Rush. He was acting like he was wobbling in his seat and sluring his words. I signaled Ransom and he rushed over to our table.
"Hey, could I have the check, please?"
"Will this be separate or together?"
"Together," I smirked as I stepped over to Rush's side and took out his wallet and handed him the card
"Be right back," after he left I placed Rush's wallet in my clutch for safe keeping.
Ransom returned a few minutes later and gave me the card and receipt.
"Do you want me call him a cab for..." he jerked his thumb at Rush.
"Naw I'll take him home, but if you could help me lift him up, I'd appreciate it."
"I'll gladly help, but I'll carry him out," he waved me off as he pulled Rush to his feet.
I grabbed Rush's keychain and him to Rush's ugly green car. I pressed the key-fob and opened the passenger door. After Ransom buckled him up he shut my door and waved before he returned to the restaurant. I started the vehicle and began driving to find a location to abandon him and the car. As I was driving down the road I saw Waterside's elementary school and an idea came to me. I parked, got out and opened the passenger door. I roughly yanked Rush face down onto the pavement. I began removing his clothing, starting with his shoes. His jacket was easy to slip off, but not his shirt as I had to roll him on his back to get it off. His pants were even more difficult. I couldn't turn him over, so I had to lift each leg to work his pants off. Unfortunately for the kids, he chose to go commando, so I rolled him onto his stomach. I decided to put his socks and shoes back on before folding the remains of his clothes. When I went back to the car to place his keys in the glove compartment I found a flask. I tossed the keys inside, grabbed the flask and placed it underneath his hand. I grabbed my clutch to retrieve my phone and call Dagger. Exactly fifteen minutes later Dagger pulled up next to me on his bike.
"Why's Rush, uh naked?"
"Cause he's a bastard and I refuse to become his ol' lady. Take me home, Dag," I marched past him to his bike.
Dagger got on and immediately took me back to the club. As we pulled in my mom, Gin, Oxy, and West were standing against the bar. After I climbed off the four of them flocked to me like ducklings to their mom.
"What happened, hun?" Mom reached out and took my hand in concern.
"Tell me you kicked his ass," Gin lifted both fists and shook them in glee.
"What happened to my dress?" Oxy gasped as she pulled the dress away from my body.
"Is there a body that needs to disappear?" West crossed his arms as he smirked.
"Where's dad?" I sighed as I led them to the lanai.
