💣 MAVROS 💣
It's a beautiful day. The weather's perfect. And the view is breath taking. Verity would love it. I should bring her tomo-.
I shook my head and turned away from the view and started my bike. As I turned down the highway Verity came up beside me on her red Aprilia. We braked and flipped our visers, in perfect sync. I grinned as it seemed I'd somehow manifested my dream girl's presence. I knew it was time to say something, but was lost in sight of her. She was in red leather, with her lengthy braid flowing down her back. She took my breath away, leaving me as a soul at the gates of heaven.
SAY something. ANYTHING.
In a chokehold my mind wouldn't compute to my mouth and I continued my dreamy glare. Luckily before I felt embarrassed Verity waved and smiled. I robotically lifted my hand and hopefully matched her grin.
"Heading home?"
"Hii." I felt my fingers wiggle and her tinkling giggle jerked me alert.
"Looks like we've got something in common."
"We d-." I leaned to the side forgetting to release the kickstand and almost kissed the pavement.
Though I managed to catch myself, my left leg and foot were pinned. I began maneuvering my leg and lift the bike but wasn't getting anywhere.
Way to go Mav, you've killed any cool factor you had going.
I shook myself and attempted another heave when I felt the weight lift. I looked up to see Verity's pretty blue eyes and smile.
"I swear I'm never this incompetent," I stared though I felt my cheeks grow warm.
"Keep it up, I like being your knight in red leather," Verity winked as she pulled me onto my bike.
"Ughh.." Is all I could dumbly manage.
She chuckled as she kicked my stand before kneeling at my leg. Ver gripped my leg and raised it as she slid my boot off. She rolled up my pant leg and I felt a jolt from the touch of her smooth fingers.
"Are you okay? Did my touch hurt?"
"Uh, no," I gulped and shook my head, avoiding her glance.
Out of my peripheral I saw the corner of her mouth twitch as she peeled back my sock. I shamelessly stared as she began turning and bending my ankle.
"Ouch," I winced and she froze.
"SORRY, SORRY. Ugh you've got a goose egg of a bruise on your ankle. It might be sprained, too..."
"Hospital?"
"It just needs to be wrapped and iced. No need for a doctor visit." Her fidgeting fingers scooped her hair behind her ears and my nose caught a whiff of it's scent.
"Race you home?" I smirked as she placed my boot in my backpack.
"Nope, I'm driving y-."
