first and foremost, hello!
the story is about a foreigner commoner girl who happens to save the king from danger and ends up in the royal palace. the setting is pretty much the same as kingdom of heaven with some additional details. it's basically my interpretation of what would happen if baldwin had a lover, and how that could change the course of events.
now for historical accuracy, i wouldn't say the story is too far off from reality but don't expect it to be fully accurate with the timeline and other geographical details (and obviously baldwin didn't have a lover and never got married lol). and there will be times the story will not fit the social norms of the period. the biggest example is the king's relationship with a commoner.
i mainly wanted the main character to not be of a noble name because i want them to be together solely out of love and nothing else.
i did not choose a name for her and decided to stick to y/n, so she is me, she is you, and she is us 😎⭐️
