The Hands of Time

The recent Day of the Departed will forever be remembered as one of the craziest. EVER. Cole is back to being human, though his aura does still have some ghostly reminisce symbolized by the crack on his head. But it's slowly closing and would only appear when he uses his new lava arms. However, when he told us that Airjitzu has dark magic imbued in it, we decided to stop using it because we did not want to become corrupted. Oh, well, it was fun to take flight on a whim. (Oh, well. 😮‍💨)

But now, the team and I are cleaning up the Hall of Villainy. A few days had passed since the attack and it was only right we helped to clean things up. "This ends now, Samukai." I roll my eyes, placing the statue of Chen down in a wheelbarrow for Lloyd. "Anything to kill boredom." I whisper to Lloyd. He chuckles quietly then walks past me. "Nope, pretending this is the actual Samukai doesn't make cleaning up the museum any more interesting. This is so lame. We're ninja, not janitors." Jay complains. I pick up a box and walk over to place it with others. "Come on, Jay. We're all kind of responsible for the damage to the museum. After all, if we hadn't had that massive battle on the Day of the Departed, this place would still be in one piece." Lloyd says.

I make my way over to Cole. "Yeah, and whose fault is that, Cole?" I roll my eyes then look back at Jay, "Worth it." I tell him, wrapping my arms around Cole, turn my head and rest it on his shoulder. (Definitely worth it. 😊) He holds a portrait of Master Yang, the one who caused the whole battle to happen but also brought Cole back to life. I will forever be grateful of that. "Okay. How many more times do I have to say I'm sorry for accidentally unleashing the ghostly forces of evil and attack Ninjago." Cole snips and places the portrait in a wheelbarrow. I lift my head and give him a smile, "To Jay, probably a thousand more because he hates chores." I joke.

He chuckles softly and I feel my heart flutter from that. Wow, I am whipped for this man. "Ugh, seriously? When did you become such a sap?" I drop the smile, let go of Cole, and give Jay a deadpanned stare. "I'm a sap? You may want to rethink your words, Jay, because look who's talking." I tell him, starring hard at him. He gulps, "Oh, hey, better get back to cleaning up." He turns away and puts Samukai's skull in a box. (Yeah, just walk on, Walker. Walk on~) Hm. Thats more like it. I hear a clatter is made and turn around to see Cole looking at his hands. He has been getting use to his body again, but his Lava Arms are new and catches him off guard sometimes. "Eh, speaking of which, you're still not used to having your old, non-ghost hands back?" Jay asks.

I right the barrow and put all the stuff in it. "I'm working on it." Cole says. He starts pushing it and I follow him. "Need some help?" I ask. He looks at me, "I'm good, thanks." He smiles. I give him a smile back then look at Zane. I walk over and help him with the statue of Cryptor. "This is exhausting." Nya talks, her exhaustion is also present with my powers. "If I could go back in time, I'd tell Dr. Saunders we were too busy to help." She says. "Nya, you may recall that the rest of us once time-traveled. It can have devastating effects, and should not be used lightly. Certainly to not get out of labor." Zane informs.

However, my eyes land on a portrait of a couple hanging on the wall. I walk to it and stop, noticing a familiar building behind it. That's Kai and Nya's blacksmith shop. The couple bear a striking similarity to Kai and Nya: the man is practically an older Kai except he had a goatee and far tamer spiky hair while wearing a red shirt with a golden dragon's face on it, the woman has long wavy hair with light and dark blue clothing with her eyes being so much like Nya's. "Shortly before they disappeared. We know so little about them. Nya." I blink, hearing Kai say that.

They lost their parents before getting to know them, too? (She knows the feeling all too well. 😔) I walk away, feeling like I invaded a private moment. "Guys! Look what I found!" Cole exclaims. I walk over and stand next to him, gasping at a large pairing which shows a battle at the old monastery. "Uh, isn't that Garmadon?" Jay asks, pointing at said man to the left. "It is. Lloyd, thats your dad." Cole says. I feel Lloyd to my right and look back at him. "And there's Master Wu." Kai points to said man beside Garmadon. "He looks so... young." Nya voices. I roll my eyes, "Oh, interested, Nya?" I joke. "As if." She respond. (Ha! 😆) I laugh. "Hey, who's the woman flying above them?" She asks. Looking back at the painting, that is when I notice... No way.
