Shuichi's POV (3rd person):
Shuichi was laying on his bed, doing his best not to move too much because of the injuries he got the other day.
He was thankful for his parents to let him stay home, he didn't really want to deal with the struggles of limping everywhere even though he already missed his friend.
Kokichi promised him to visit him every day to give him the lessons he missed anyways, so it wasn't a big problem.
He was bored so Shuichi was reading a book like usual. But as he was in an important part of his book, his reading was cut off by the door bell startling him.
He then heard his parents open the door and greet happily the person outside and did what Shuichi assumed to let the person in.
The blue haired boy shrugged it off, thinking it was just one of his parents' friends or something. As he was about to continue his reading, he heard a knock on his door.
Shuichi sighed, thinking that his parents were gonna present him to their friend, but he didn't have a choice anyways so he just spoke up. "Yes?"
As the door opened, Shuichi felt his happiness rise up to the rooftop when he saw his friend Kokichi. And Kokichi seemed to notice his huge smile as he giggled softly and waved at Shuichi while walking towards him.
"Hi Shuichi! How are you since yesterday?" he asked, looking at Shuichi's new bandages on his injuries.
"I'm good, I'm so happy that you actually came!" Shuichi answers happily before sitting up to let Kokichi sit beside him on the bed.
"This guy wasn't holding back..." The shorter one stated worriedly as he hesitately puts his hand on one of Shuichi's cheeks that is patched while being careful not to hurt him.
Shuichi slightly flinched but as soon as he realized there wasn't pressure at all, Shuichi relaxed and softly smiled. "It could have been worse if you didn't call a teacher, thank you Kokichi."
Shuichi then noticed Kokichi slightly blushing before quickly hiding it, making Shuichi smile in amusement.
The two of them then started talking about the lessons Shuichi missed, Kokichi explaining everything so that Shuichi could understand properly. That lasted some long minutes, but they didn't realize it with the other's presence, they were both happy to spend time with each other even though it was just some catching up with lessons.
As soon as they were done with the lessons, Shuichi had an idea and he wanted to share it with Kokichi.
"Hey Kokichi, how about we watch the new Danganronpa season together? I've never had time to do it, but now we can, right?" Kokichi's eyes brightened at the idea as he quickly nodded with a big smile. "That's a great idea! Let's do that!"
Both of them then started watching the new Danganronpa V2 season, both theorizing on who the culprit might be and talking about the best character of the season: Rantaro. They both liked his chill vibe and they hoped that he would survive the season even though it would be a good source of despair and a good plot twist if a character important like Rantaro died.
After a few hours of watching all of the episodes, the season finally ended. And to both of them's joys, Rantaro survived.
They then both scrolled on the internet, reacting to some Danganronpa memes, they were both having a great time.
And then, they saw a surprising post.
It was a Danganronpa meet and greet with all of the fans' favorite survivors.
"Oooh! That's nice! We should go there sometime." Kokichi beamed happily. Shuichi nodded in agreement before thinking of something, looking pretty lost.
"Why only the survivors though? The ones that died should have credits too! Their acting was fire too." Kokichi shrugged. "I don't know either, but did you know that for next season they'll set up a simulation so that they wouldn't need to act?"
"Wait really? That's so cool!" Kokichi nodded in agreement before they both started to scroll through Team Danganronpa's official account to see some other news about the next season of Danganronpa.
And they sure found something interesting:

Kokichi and Shuichi both looked at each other excitedly.
"An audition? we better participate!" Kokichi stated happily while Shuichi nodded happily.
"It's at summer break though, and we still are at the beginning of our school year." Shuichi reminds with a slight pout while Kokichi giggles at the pout and spoke up. "Don't worry, it'll pass faster than we think. Plus, they still need time to prepare the new scenes in the simulation and code everything to make sure it works."
"That's true. We still have the meet and greet soon so it's fine." Shuichi shrugged with a soft smile.
"That's the spirit!" Kokichi answers in joy, both of them continuing on their time together.
They both chatted for a good while. Hours passed but they didn't worry about it, they were both in their happy bubble talking to each other.
As they continued speaking, They were cut off by Kokichi's phone ringing.
Kokichi quickly took his phone and answered the call.
Call in process:
"Hey dad."
"Kokichi! I'm glad you answered, are you home soon?"
"Yeah I'm home soon, don't worry."
"I was so worried! It's so late and you didn't come back! Did you get kidnapped?"
"No I didn't get kidnapped I'm talking with a frie-"
"A friend? are you sure it's not someone undercover trying to bait and kidnap you?"
"Geez dad you're worrying too much. anyways, I'll come back soon don't worry."
"Yeah sorry, you know me, I would do anything to make sure my kids are safe. Come back soon, love you son."
"Yeah, love you too."Kokichi smiled softly before hanging up.
End of the call...
"I gotta go, my dad's worried sick." Kokichi said, rubbing the back of his neck with a soft giggle.
"It's alright, it happens to me too. See you tomorrow!" Shuichi answers happily as Kokichi nodded and packed up his things before waving at Shuichi and leaving.
Shuichi smiled to himself. He was looking forward to see Kokichi again.
He realized that Kokichi really was making him smile. And that thought made Shuichi blush.
That feeling... It's been a long time since he hasn't felt it.
Was he... in love?
He didn't want to deny it this time. He knew Kokichi was a good person, and he knew that he had a chance with Kokichi, he said it himself that he was attracted to boys.
And if he rejected him, he's sure that they would still be friends, but he still hopes that if he ever confesses to Kokichi he'd accept his feelings.
