Shuichi's POV (3rd person):
Both boys were having breakfast. Shuichi noticed Kokichi looking like he was thinking about something. Worried, Shuichi decided to ask what was wrong.
"What's wrong?" That caught Kokichi's attention as his thoughts seemed to be cut short. The shorter boy looked up at Kokichi for a second before starting hesitantly.
"I was... Just wondering since yesterday, you know..." Kokichi reminded, making Shuichi blush but letting Kokichi continue. "...What are we exactly? Like, did we become... more?"
Shuichi's eyes slightly widened at the question before thinking about it. "...Well, I don't know either. But how about we take our time to think about it in the meantime?" Shuichi suggested, looking back at Kokichi.
"Yeah, you're right. We should think about it before jumping in conclusions." Shuichi nodded at Kokichi's statement as they both continued to eat breakfast.
"So, what do you want to do today?" Shuichi asked, looking at Kokichi.
"I heard that there's an arcade opened in sundays. How about we go there?" Kokichi suggests. Earning a nod from the other.
"Good idea, let's get ready."
Both of them then went in seperate rooms to start dressing up. And as soon as they were done, they walked outside of the house, slowly walking to the direction of their destination.
"Looks like your injuries from last time mostly healed. Do you think you will come back to school tomorrow?" Kokichi asked, looking up at Shuichi while giving him a questionning gaze.
"Yeah I should be back tomorrow." Shuichi nodded while the two boys continued chatting.
After a few minutes, Shuichi felt like... He was being watched. And that gave him shivers down his spine as the uncomfortable feeling made him stop walking and look around. Earning a curious look from his crush.
Shuichi then ended up meeting the eyes of a couple of two middle aged looking adults. A man and a woman who quickly looked away. The weirdest thing that came to Shuichi's mind was how... Similar they looked compared to him.
Shuichi didn't want to think about it, thinking it was just a coincidence and quickly grabbed Kokichi's hand before walking fast towards the arcade. Not wanting to feel this uncomfortable feeling of being watched.
As soon as they arrived to the arcade, Kokichi and Shuichi started playing games together. Making Shuichi forget about earlier's weird encounter as they just laughed and spent time together without any worries.
But this peace didn't last long. Shuichi felt the same feeling once again. Making him look around with a panicking look. Soon noticing the same middle aged adults from before, which made his heart skip a beat.
Was he being stalked? What did those people want from him?
A hand landing on top of his made him flinch as he quickly looked at the source. Soon seeing Kokichi looking at Shuichi with a worried gaze.
"Are you okay Shuichi?" Kokichi asked before looking over Shuichi's shoulder. Noticing the two people watching Shuichi.
Before Shuichi could answer, he was being dragged by Kokichi towards the bathroom.
Kokichi soon brought Shuichi inside a bathroom stall and locked the door. "Do you know those people watching you?" He asked at the blue haired boy, which made the other shake his head in response.Kokichi was even more worried as he saw Shuichi's anxious look. He soon cupped the other's cheeks softly to comfort him a bit. "It's alright Shuichi, I'll protect you."
Shuichi softly smiled at those words, the smile soon disapearing as soon as they heard footsteps going inside the men's backrooms. The footsteps were heard closer and closer until...
A person's shadow was seen in front of the door of the teenagers' stall.
Shuichi held back his breath as he instinctively hugged Kokichi close for some reassurance.
Kokichi hugged back, staring at the unmoving shadow without any noise.
After a few long minutes... The shadow finally left.
Shuichi started trembling as he started to unconciously tear up. "K-Kokichi..." Kokichi looked up at Shuichi, noticing the fear in Shuichi's eyes.
"Can we... Can we go back to my house...? I'm scared..."
Kokichi directy nodded at this and held Shuichi's hands before running back to Shuichi's home with him.
This... Strange day made Shuichi close all the windows and curtains in fear of being watched. Which made Kokichi feel bad for the taller one. So he had no better idea to bring back Shuichi to his parents' bed and wrap him in a warm blanket before cuddling him close and watch a nice movie with him on Shuichi's laptop. And it seemed to make Shuichi feel a bit better. Which was good.
Shuichi texted his parents about the situation, and they told him that they will be back as soon as possible to make sure he would be safe. Kokichi agreed to the parents' request to stay with Shuichi atleast until they came back.
Shuichi seemed more clingy than usual, but Kokichi didn't mind. Plus, if it comforted Shuichi then it was even better.
