Chapter 9: Confusing feelings

Kokichi's POV (3rd person):

They arrived in Shuichi's home for a while now. Shuichi was reading a book on his parents' bed meanwhile Kokichi was bored. So he soon decided to 'prank' Shuichi a little.

So that's what he did, he quickly leaped onto Shuichi to surprise him, earning a surprised gasp from the taller boy as he accidentally dropped his book off of the bed while he giggled softly from underneath Kokichi.

"You scared me Kokichi!" Shuichi stated between his giggles as Kokichi laughed along. "Oops, I'm totally sorry!" He responds, earning a 'really?' face from the taller one before he made them roll over.

Both of them blushed at how close they were and Shuichi quickly sat up to not be this close to Kokichi. "S-sorry, I'm gonna pick up my book real quick."

Shuichi then crawled towards the edge of the bed, trying to reach for the book. But the object was too far and soon made Shuichi fall off the bed with a 'thump', making him groan.

Kokichi chuckled softly as he looked at Shuichi put the book down on the night stand and sit beside him. "You okay?" Kokichi asked, checking for any bumps Shuichi could have recieved from the fall.

Shuichi nodded with a soft smile but Kokichi seemed too stuborn and continued checking as he cupped Shuichi's cheeks to look at him closer and checked for bumps. But instead, his gaze was simply trapped by Shuichi's beautiful eyes, making both of them blush at each other.

It was the first time Kokichi saw Shuichi's eyes properly since he always wears his cap or avoids eye contact. But this time was different. He could finally see them, and they were beautiful.

Kokichi brushed a strand of hair away from Shuichi's face to let him see his eyes better as he looked at them in amazement, making Shuichi blush deeply even though he didn't really mind.

"You know.. You have really beautiful eyes." The purple haired boy stated, making the other one's blush intensify. "R-really?" Kokichi smiled at Shuichi's stuttering and nodded.

That nod soon made Shuichi smile, making Kokichi look at his lips and blush. Shuichi's lips looked so soft, he just wanted too...

Kokichi brushed this idea off of his head as he looked back into Shuichi's eyes. Shuichi was looking at him with the same soft smile and it seemed that he noticed Kokichi looking at his lips. Which was curious enough since Shuichi didn't say anything about it or try to hide his face from embarassement. He just looked back at Kokichi with a look that looked quite hopeful.

Kokichi noticed this look, making him hesitate with his next move as he hesitantly pulled Shuichi closer slowly. Both of them looking into each other's eyes. Meanwhile Kokichi admired Shuichi's eyes once more, he was soon caught by surprise as Shuichi was the one that did the first move.

Their faces inched closer slowly. Their eyes slowly closed the closer they were from each other, until... Their lips touched. The feeling made their hearts pound inside their chests in sync.

As soon as they pulled away, they both were blushing messes. Especially Shuichi since he was the one starting the kiss. And he was looking away shyly.

That made Kokichi know that he had to destroy the awkward silence. And that's what he did as he layed down and pulled Shuichi with him before starting to cuddle him. The other was surprised by the sudden cuddle but soon cuddled back the other.

Kokichi then turned off the lights and kept cuddling his... Wait,  were they still friends or did they become lovers? Oh... This is confusing, he'll talk to Shuichi about it the next day if he doesn't forget it or if he has time.

Soon, they both fell asleep into each other's arms, snuggling together while in a peaceful slumber.

Ah... feelings, they sure are confusing.
