"Awake again?" Severus asked.

"The insomnia is horrid," Harry admitted grumpily. "Even Dreamless Sleep doesn't help."

"Let me make cocoa and we can cuddle," Severus offered.

"Better than staring at the darkness," Harry nodded.

Wrapped in a blanket, Harry leaned against Severus. "Now what?"

"Perhaps the time for a true story," he said softly.

"About what?" Harry frowned, confused.

"Never did I ever think to be here," Severus admitted. "The two of us. Alive. Healthy."

"Happy," Harry added softly.

Severus dropped a kiss on Harry's head.

"Close your eyes and rest," Severus said.

Severus' steady heartbeat lulled Harry to sleep.
