Part 2 How Opposites Meet - Shadilver

Silver, Shadow and Tails entered the cafeteria and noticed Sonic and Espio sitting at one of the tables which they joined. As they did, Sonic and Espio quickly stopped their conversation.

"How was class?" Espio asked interestedly.

"It was pretty fun actually," Silver said as they took the seat next to Espio, "We had to communicate with a computer through code. It was pretty interesting as it learned from our answers. But the teacher soon had to shut it down," They chuckled.

"Why?" Espio asked interestedly.

"Well, someone," Silver said with an obvious look towards Shadow, "Turned it into an internet troll."

Shadow took the seat next to Tails and chuckled, "Well, it wasn't that much of a challenge."

"It wasn't even a challenge," Tails snapped, a little annoyed because he thought it was interesting to communicate with a system the way they did.

Silver laughed, "But it was kind of funny."

Espio and Shadow smiled at seeing Silver so joyful. "It's good to see you so happy again," Espio whispered to them.

They turned to him with a bright smile, "Well there are some nice days coming up. The museum tomorrow and going to the zoo on Saturday. It seems like the weather will be great that day, I'm really looking forward to that. Plus Shadow did great on the practice test. Those are some good things," They said while getting their lunch out of their pack.

"Hey there," Marine's voice was heard from behind them.

The girls were happily greeted as they made room for them to join. Silver's smile faded as they looked at Honey who avoided their look and took the seat next to Shadow. They exchanged a quick look with Espio who also looked worried at the table arrangement. Silver's cheeks turned slightly pale as Honey started a conversation with Shadow.

Silver kept a close eye on them, but it seemed like she didn't tell him anything about them, which felt like a slight relief but it also made them very curious about what they were talking about. Silver frowned as they looked closer at Honey. Apparently she used more make up than she normally did and her clothes were more revealing than usual.

They gulped nervously as Shadow laughed at something she had said. It kind of made them feel nervous. Espio took their hand under the table.

"Don't you worry," He whispered, "I don't think she will tell him."

Silver nodded slightly. Their eyes moved back to Honey and Shadow. They gulped as they saw Shadow writing something down on a piece of paper and passing it to Honey.

After lunch, the group split up again to go to the digital skills class. As always, Silver's eyes moved to the back of the class at first to check if the gang was present, which they weren't for a few weeks already. Silver sighed in relief as they took their seat and started up their computer.

Shadow also had a quick glance at the back, "Isn't it weird they have been away for so many weeks now?" He quietly asked Espio.

"It's worrisome," Espio answered him. "Well, we both know why Scourge isn't here, but you would think Jet and Vector would still continue their studies," He said quietly so nobody else could hear him. "Do you think they are up to something?"

Shadow made a doubtful noise, "I think they are too stupid to even think of something themselves."

"What about Mephiles?"

"I'm not sure. It's not like he was involved in, you know," He said and his eyes moved to Silver. "Well, whatever Jet and Vector are up to, we can definitely take them," Shadow said with a grin, "They are reckless without a leader."
