Espio looked defeated as the police cars disappeared in the distance, surrounded by the buzzing sound of all the people who just witnessed seeing Silver and Tails getting taken away. The buzzing around him became unintelligible as Espio suddenly realised how difficult the situation had become.

"Come on, we need to go after them," Shadow said.

Espio stared after the police cars that drove off. He was frozen, lost and defeated.

"You need to call your lawyer, we need to get in contact with Tails' parents and we should try to get in contact with Silver and Tails at the police station. They are going to the station located in Green Hill," Shadow continued.

Lanolin carefully took Espio by his arm. He looked confusedly down at her, who smiled painfully back at him. "Come on," She said caringly and led him by his arm towards their motorcycles. "I will drive," She said, and without asking, she took Espio's keys from his jacket, as she thought Espio wouldn't be in any condition to drive right now.

"I will call Tails' parents, you call your lawyer," Shadow instructed before he put on his helmet.

Espio blinked his eyes in confusion as he snapped out of his thoughts. "W-what?" He asked rather absently.

"Here," Lanolin said as she handed him his phone, "Make an offer to your lawyer. We need her help."

"Oh, yes of course."

While they were making their way to Green Hill, Espio was contacting his lawyer, making her a financial offer, which she accepted, to Espio's relief. On their drive, Shadow contacted Tails' father who sounded shocked but would be on his way to the police station soon.

As Lanolin drove, Espio felt worried for Silver, not knowing what would happen and how they would be treated in the station, how big this situation was.

When they arrived at the police station, Espio quickly got off of the motorcycle and went inside, closely followed by Shadow and Lanolin.

"Good afternoon, how can I help you?" The officer at the welcoming desk asked kindly.

"We need to talk to Silver and Tails," Espio said quickly, "They've just been arrested at the history museum. We need to know what's going on."

The officer raised her eyebrows and turned to the computer to look up some information, "I'm sorry, sir, but they just got in. They will be registered and questioned first. Because of their age, they can be accompanied by a parent, caretaker or lawyer only."

They exchanged worried looks.

"Ma'am," Shadow said and took a step forward, "I'm sure something could be arranged, my friend here," He said and gestured to Espio, "Is commander Harold's son. He is the head detective at the special forces. I'm sure he can at least pay them a visit, right?"

She looked surprisedly at Espio, "Head detective?" She said and turned back to her computer, "I think indeed something could be possible that way. Could you show me your ID?" She asked Espio, who felt rather nervous, but quickly took his ID and placed it on the desk. "And your badge," She added and took Espio's ID to type in some information on the computer.

Espio cleared his throat, "I lost it," He said, unsure about how this would go. Shadow looked towards Espio in confusion.

"You've already requested a replacement?" She asked while she browsed through the information, a slight frown appearing on her face.

"Not yet," He said quietly and crossed his fingers behind his back.

"I'm sorry sir," She said and placed his ID back on the desk, "I see you are no longer active in that role."
