The colour drained from Espio's face as he noticed his lawyer following his father. "Shit," He whispered and quickly went after them.

Lanolin exchanged a troubled look with Shadow as they watched Espio going after them.

"What are you doing here?" Espio asked sternly as he approached his father.

Harold grinned and fastened his cufflink on his sleeve, not looking at his son. "I think that's none of your business," He spoke arrogantly.

Espio's eyes moved from his father to his own lawyer, who looked back at him apologetic and concerned, but didn't say anything.

"Please don't do this," Espio begged his father, as he suspected he was here because of Silver's arrest.

"I do what I want and need for my country," Harold said sternly. He looked with a cold glow in his eyes towards him. "You better move aside or you will be moved," He warned as Espio blocked his way to the front door of the police station.

"Father-"

"Commander," He corrected him.

Espio let out a sigh, "Father," He said again trying to get through to him, "Please, I will do anything you want, but please don't recruit Silver. This isn't good for them. For no one. This could be dangerous."

Harold cleared his throat and gestured with his head for his security. Two big men stepped forward to get in between him and Espio. "Stand back and move along sir," One of them said with a deep voice.

"Why won't you listen to me?" Espio said frustratedly and looked at his father through the guards, "This is all a very bad idea."

His father looked at his watch, "We need to move."

The security guard laid a firm hand on Espio's shoulder. He had a tight grip, which made sure Espio had to obey by moving aside.

"Sir," Shadow said as he came closer and interrupted this situation. "I will come back and join the forces if you will leave Silver in peace."

Harold raised an interested eyebrow.

"No you won't," Espio said quickly and sternly.

"What do you say, commander?" Shadow said as he ignored Espio's remark and held out a hand.

Harold looked towards Shadow. Suddenly, a sneering smile appeared on his lips, "This boy is way more powerful than you are. Did you actually think I would choose you over him?"

Shadow raised his eyebrows, surprised and offended.

"If you don't have anything valuable to add, then we will be going. Wouldn't want to be late," Harold said arrogantly. It stayed quiet for a few seconds as Espio and Shadow exchanged looks, "Good," Harold said, and the small group of people entered the police station.

"Fuck! God damnit!" Espio said frustratedly and kicked a bin as he couldn't hold back his frustration and anger. He had never felt so hopeless before.

"What's going on?" Rosemary asked concernedly as she, Lanolin and Amadeus joined them, having seen the group of authorised people entering.

Espio turned to Amadeus, "You need to go back to Tails now. Make sure he doesn't say anything."

Amadeus frowned, "I thought we needed to-"

"Plan has changed," Espio interrupted.

"Who was he?" Rosemary asked in concern and looked through the window to see Harold talking with the officer behind the welcome desk. "What does he want?"

"That's my father. He is the commander at the army. He's here with my lawyer," Espio informed her.

"Your father?" She asked confused, "He could help us, right?"
