Infinite and Silver talked for a long time, though it was mostly Silver talking while Infinite listened with interest and occasionally asked a question. Infinite himself didn't have much to tell as not much had happened for him in the years since Silver left.

Silver left a few things out because they didn't want to make Infinite feel worried. They didn't tell him that they had lived on the streets for a long time, instead making it sound like they'd been living with Tails. They left out the part about being bullied and lonely at school for a long time, and about what happened with Scourge and what he did to them.

Infinite was also very interested in why Silver was arrested and how Silver theirself didn't actually know why. The only thing they knew was that they were accused of stealing a chaos emerald, but they only remembered looking at it and a second later it was gone.

They were both pretty worried about the situation and the fact that Silver was all alone in this.

Silver mostly focused on the happier moments they'd had after they left Infinite's place. How they found their cats, got a job at a flower shop, their good grades, the recent surprise party and their performances with the school band.

Silver let out a sigh and rested their head on Infinite's shoulder through the bars, "I've really missed you." They whispered with a tired yawn.

"I've missed you too," Infinite said with a caring voice and stroked their back quills. He looked down at them and noticed how tired they looked, "Maybe you should try and get some sleep. You had a long day."

Silver slowly nodded and looked curiously at Infinite, "Could you maybe help me again with that?" They asked carefully. "It's been a long time since I had a good sleep like that."

"Of course," Infinite said with an endearing smile. He carefully undid the top buttons of his shirt.

Silver frowned worriedly when they saw the gemstone, which had shone brightly back in the day, but now flickered weakly. They gulped nervously when they looked at the sad and weak looking gem. They looked worriedly up into Infinite's eyes, who smiled endearingly at them and stroked their cheek.

"T-that doesn't look good," Silver said worriedly.

"It's okay," Infinite said caringly, "It still does what it is supposed to do."

Silver gulped fearfully and looked at the weak glow, "Maybe you shouldn't-"

Infinite stroked their cheek with an endearing smile, "Go to sleep," He whispered.

The gem flickered a little brighter for a second and its glow reflected in Silver's eyes. Silver's eyelids became heavy when the red flickering hit their eyes. With a soft thud, their head rested against the bars as they suddenly fell asleep.

Infinite smiled endearingly. With a grunt, he carefully took the pillow from under his leg, pushed it through the bars and let Silver's head rest on it. He placed a soft kiss on Silver's forehead, "Sleep tight," He whispered and held their hand in a caring way.

"Espio, you really should get some sleep," Lanolin said as she rested her head against Espio's shoulder.

The three of them were sitting in the waiting area. Shadow had already fallen asleep in his chair. Lanolin had trouble staying awake and Espio sat crossed legged on the chair. He had his laptop, which Lanolin had brought for him, on his lap as he continued on his research.

"I don't have time to sleep," Espio said, despite not looking so good. He had bags under his eyes and his purple skin looked a bit paler than it normally did. His eyes stared at the screen while he typed on his laptop.
