Silver's ears twitched and they frowned in confusion upon hearing their name. Slowly, they sat up on the bed to see who this person was.

Their eyes widened in surprise. They gulped, "D-daddy?" They whispered disbelievingly as they looked at the jackal, who had covered his mouth in shock.

"I-it really is you," The jackal whispered with tears in his eyes.

Silver's lip started to tremble.

"M-my boy," Infinite whispered.

They quickly stood up and went to the jail bars Infinite was holding on to. "Daddy," They said again and wrapped their arms around him through the bars.

An endearing smile appeared on Infinite's lips. He softly patted Silver's back as they laid their head against his chest. A tear rolled down the jackal's cheek as he rested his head against Silver's and partly against the bars.

"My sweet boy," He breathed, "I thought I would never see you again."

"I've missed you so much," Silver said with a muffled voice.

"I've missed you too," Infinite spoke with a sigh and kissed their head.

"I'm so sorry," Silver whispered, "I-I'm so sorry I left you," They started to cry.

Infinite softly hushed.

"I'm sorry, I-I tried to go back. B-but I lost my way," Silver cried.

"Don't be," He whispered, "I'm happy you did."

Silver frowned and slowly looked up at Infinite uncomprehendingly, "Y-you are?" They asked in confusion. "A-aren't you angry with me?"

Infinite smiled endearingly at them and stroked their cheek to wipe away a tear, "Of course I'm not angry. I'm proud you did. I only hoped and prayed you were okay." His smile faded as he looked into their golden eyes, "I'm so sorry that I couldn't help you, I'm sorry for what they did, what I let them do to you. I never wanted this for you, I really am sorry for all those years you were on your own."

Silver's tear-filled eyes twitched as they looked up at Infinite. They gulped and carefully stroked the scar on Infinite's right eye, which was partly squinted. They looked worriedly at him, "D-did they do that?" They asked concernedly.

He carefully took Silver's hand away and gave it a gentle kiss, "Please don't worry about it," He said and smiled towards them and let out a sigh, "Look at you," He said and held Silver by their shoulders to look them up and down. "What a handsome man you've become."

Silver chuckled a little awkwardly.

"You must be a real womaniser," He said with a proud smile.

"Uhm well...." Silver said carefully and cleared their throat, "I actually have a boyfriend."

Infinite raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Oh really?"

"I'm sorry," Silver said, embarrassed.

"Oh no, please don't say 'sorry' for that," Infinite smiled, "Whatever makes you happy." Silver shyly smiled up at him, "Is he good to you?" He asked interestedly. "Does he treat you well?"

"Yeah, he does," Silver said with a sweet smile. "He is everything to me."

"Come, come, sit with me, I want to hear everything about you," Infinite said and gestured eagerly to the wall to sit against.

Silver smiled at him as he made his way to the wall. Their smile faded quickly when they saw how badly he was limping, tightly holding on to the bars of his cell. They gulped in shock when they saw how crooked Infinite's leg was.
