Rosemary, Espio and Lanolin were sitting in the waiting area at the front desk. Rosemary looked nervous and impatient. She often looked at the clock behind the officer's desk. Her eyes also moved often towards the door Amadeus had disappeared into, hoping he would return quickly with Tails, or at least with more information on the situation.

Espio's foot was tapping nervously. He rubbed his temples, trying to get rid of his headache, wondering when his lawyer would show up. Shadow was outside to have another smoke.

Lanolin was scrolling on her phone when she suddenly froze. "Shit," She whispered so only Espio could hear.

He looked curiously her way. "What is it?" He asked quietly.

She showed her phone to Espio, to show him a newly published article from the local news station. Espio frowned, 'Theft at the National History Museum,' Espio's eyes widened and moved from left to right as he read the article together with Lanolin. She looked worriedly towards Espio, who looked back at her in shock.

"Do you think-" She whispered carefully.

"I'm going to call my lawyer right now, we can't wait any longer," Espio said and stood up to go outside and make the call, followed by Lanolin. As Espio listened to the beeping of his phone, he lit up a cigarette and took a drag. A slight frown appeared when the call went to voicemail, so he tried again.

Meanwhile, in the police station, the door Amadeus disappeared into a while ago opened. Rosemary perked up in surprise as Amadeus returned.

"Did you talk with Miles? How is he doing? Is Miles okay? What happened?" Rosemary quickly asked as she came his way, curious about what he might have found out and if everything was okay with Tails.

Amadeus looked worriedly down at her and gave her a hug to comfort her, "I think we need to talk outside," Amadeus said and made a gesture towards the door so they could talk in private without any officers nearby.

"Is everything okay with Miles?" Rosemary asked again worriedly.

"Considering the circumstances, Tails is doing okay," Amadeus said and opened the door for her. "He's shocked about what happened, and worried. I talked with him in private for a bit, but there are a few things we need to talk through and decide on what he should tell the investigators."

"Why, what happened? He should tell them everything of course, they are both innocent I'm sure, so if he-"

"Honey," Amadeus interrupted her carefully, "There are some things we need to consider first," He said sternly.

They passed Shadow, Espio and Lanolin who looked curious about Amadeus' return. Espio ended the call after leaving a message, feeling rather nervous after his lawyer failed to answer his calls.

Amadeus gestured them to follow, so they could also listen to what he had to say.

"Sit," Amadeus said and led Rosemary to a bench on the side of the road.

Amadeus sat down next to her and let out a deep and worried sigh. "If what Tails told me is true, Silver will be in a lot of trouble," He said carefully.

Rosemary frowned curiously, "What do you mean?"

"What happened?" Shadow asked.

Lanolin and Espio shared a nervous look.

________

Silver excitedly entered the museum with Tails by their side, "Wow, look at that," They breathed, very impressed as they pointed at the big T-rex skeleton which stood in the entrance hall, "Isn't that amazing?!" They smiled brightly.
