GRACELYN'S POV

"Hey cutie!" I heard a husky voice call from downstairs. I giggled and snapped my laptop shut. I had taken up writing again, but in a good way.

"Comin'!" I shouted, stuffing my money into my purse. Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist from behind. "I said I was coming." I giggled, turning in Brady's arms to face him.

"But I couldn't wait." He smiled and kissed me on the lips.

"C'mon. I wanna go." I tugged his arm down the stairs.

"Why so excited?" He laughed, following me out the door into his car.

"I've never been to a fair." I smiled.

"Really?"

"Really." He kissed me again before opening the door of the passenger side and allowing me to sit before closing it again. He got in the driver's side and turned to me before turning on the car.

"Well then, we're gonna have a lot of fun." He turned the ignition and started the car. We sped down the road, the top of the car down, wind blowing in my hair. The sun shone bright, warm on my skin. It suddenly got warmer this week. I wasn't complaining. My sunglasses blocked out most of the sun's harsh rays and my short shorts and tank top allowed me to take in the warm weather. That's what I love about California. The sun, the warmth, the everything. I put my feet up on the dashboard as we drove to the county fair. I was really excited because I had never been to a fair before and I would be going for the first time with my boyfriend of 2 months. Over the past two months, me and Brady really got to know each other. My friends gave us plenty of time together. I don't really know what happened to Jeremy. We don't really talk anymore. Maybe he's mad at me for something. Who knows. The only things he's said to me were the occasional hi when we passed each other and bye. He and Olivia are going out now after the date I made him do with her 2 months back. Liv keeps me updated on all the things he's been up to, his problems, his interests, random things. I kind of miss him. I miss not being able to have someone there for me. I miss the sleepovers, the hangouts. My mind drifted into daydream land as Brady pulled into the fair parking lot. Little kids were screaming and running, carrying balloons and cotton candy, face paint smothered on their cheeks. The place was packed. I was so caught up in my own thoughts I didn't even hear Brady.

"Huh? What?" I turned to him.

"I said are you ready to go?" He took my hand.

"Oh. Yeah! Let's go." I turned to open my door but Brady pulled me back to him.

"You ok? You were really quiet during the ride." He rubbed his thumb on my hand.

"Yeah! I'm great! Just excited. Let's go!" I jumped out of the car and I pulled his hand to the first game.

"Knock down all of the bottles and win a prize, pretty lady." The man running the stand handed me 3 balls. I aimed and threw, missing by just and inch. I tried two more times, failing again. I groaned as the man turned his attention to the next customers in line.

I turned to Brady and gave my best puppy dog face. "Braaaadyyy."

"Hmm." He put his phone back in his pocket and put his hands on my waist.

"I want the panda." I pointed to the giant panda prize at the stand. He looked over then smiled down at me. I hugged him. "Pleeeaaase."

I could feel him laughing as I pressed my cheek to his chest. "Alright." He held me at arms length. "Only because you're so cute." He pecked me and walked over to the man at the stand. I giggled and followed him, watching as he knocked down all the bottles on the first try. I jumped up and hugged him, wrapping my legs around his waist. The giant panda was squished inbetween our two bodies but we didn't mind.
