GRACELYN'S POV
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
ew. Why was my alarm going off?
I blinked my eyes open. Seriously, who decided to turn my alarm on? It's the middle of fall and it's not like I have school. I turned to my bedside table and shut off the alarm. At that moment my stomach decided to be weird and make noises. I did not feel good. I groaned and flopped back down on my pillows, shutting my eyes tight. After a few minutes or so I decided I should probably just get ready for the day.
I turned to the other side of my bed and nearly jumped out of my skin when I saw a human figure standing there. I squinted a little closer and relaxed.
"Seriously. It's a Saturday and you decide that turning on my alarm and showing up in my room will make me happy?" I threw a pillow at Jeremy's face but he only laughed.
"What, you're not happy to see me?" He smirked.
"Shut up." I mumbled with my face in the pillow.
"Aw, what's wrong, Gracie? Someone feeling sick?" He lied down on the bed behind me and started playing with my hair.
"Yes, actually. Considering it was below freezing last night and I was walking outside." I turned to face him.
"It was worth it, wasn't it?" He smirked again.
I pouted. "Why aren't you the sick one?"
"Because I'm the special one." He kissed my pout gently. Wow, I never thought I'd say that. "Now get out of bed we are going shopping."
I whimpered. "Whyyy. Why can't we just see a movie or something?" He rose up from the bed and started rummaging through my clothes as I watched him from the comfort of my blankets.
He picked out one of my favorite band t-shirts and tossed it to me before starting for my pants. "We can go to a movie afterward. I have something I need to get."
"Oh, yeah? And what's that?" I propped my head up on one elbow.
"It's nothing, really." He shrugged and threw a pair of skinny jeans at me.
"Alright. Whatever you say." I rolled out of bed and actually stood up, grabbing the clothes Jeremy had thrown at me.
"Gracelyn, please put this clothes away." My mom decided that she would walk in at that moment with a basket of my clean clothes.
"Oh, Jeremy. I didn't realize you came in. Maybe I didn't hear the doorbell." She said when she noticed Jeremy rummaging through my clothes.
"I came in through the window." He replied, still looking through my shoes.
"Well I always have told Gracelyn that she needs to lock that thing before someone breaks in."
"Oh, don't worry Mrs. Smith. If anyone broke in, I'd chase them down." He finally picked a pair of boots and tossed them at me, smiling at my mother.
"It's always nice to have someone watching over this little troublemaker."
"Mom!" I groaned.
"So what are you kids up to today?"
"Oh. Just the mall, the movies. You know, the usual." Jeremy shrugged. My mom smiled and finally left us alone.
I walked past Jeremy and into the bathroom where I quickly changed, threw my hair up in a ponytail, and put simple eyeliner and perfume on.
"You know, this is kinda like our first date." Jeremy came up to me and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Mmm. I thought this was 'the usual'." I teased him.
