GRACELYN'S POV

After Eric left, we didn't really know what to do. We all stood there, looking at the security sensor he passed through minutes before. Jeremy's mother finally snapped us back to reality and led us to the car. The car ride this time was even quieter than before. We rode the whole way without speaking a word to one another. When we got back to the neighborhood, Mrs. Shada dropped me off at my house and I said a simple "bye" to the both of them. When I got up to my room, I peeled off my shoes and socks and flopped onto my bed, staring at the ceiling. I stayed there for what seemed like hours before my phone vibrated in my back pocket. Lazily picking it up and not bothering to look at the called ID, I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, so my friend just texted me about a party he is having tonight. Wanna go?" Jeremy's voice echoed through the speaker.

"Uh, I don't know. I don't really like parties." I replied uneasy.

"Don't worry. I'll be there the whole time with you." He assured me.

"I don't even have anything to wear." I continued making up excuses not to go.

"I'm sure you'll look beautiful in anything.." I knew he had a grin on his face.

"Thanks, but I still don't know." I laughed slightly.

"Why don't you wanna go?" He questioned.

"I don't know, I just don't do parties, I guess." I twirled a piece of hair around my pointer finger.

"You can have some of your friends come too if it makes you feel more comfortable." He tried reasoning.

"Jeremy," I protested.

"Please. Just ten minutes. And if you don't like it we can go,ok?" He pleaded.

I stopped and thought for a minute. It's only ten minutes. Plus Jeremy will be there the whole time. Nothing too bad can happen. Right?

"Ten minutes?" I finally answered.

"Yeah. Only ten minutes. And then after that if you want to go, we'll go. Deal?" I could practically see him smirking through the phone.

I sighed. "Ok. Yeah."

"Perfect." He murmured through he phone.

"So what do I wear?" I asked.

"Well, just have Liv or Stephanie come over and help you. They'll know."

I sighed again. "Alright. See you later."

"Alright. Bye. See you at 7?"

"Yeah. Seven is good."

"Great. Ok. Bye."

"Bye."

I looked over at the clock on my dresser. It read 5 o'clock. I had a few hours to get ready.

"Might as well bring some friends." I huffed under my breath.

2 HOURS LATER

"Guys, I don't know about this." I sighed in the car seat.

"Oh c'mon." Liv whined from the driver's seat.

"What's your problem with parties anyway?" Stephanie added from the passenger seat, turning around to face me.

I shrugged. "It's just....nevermind."

Stephanie raised an eyebrow. "Just what?"

"Nothing. It's nothing. Now can we drop this?" I groaned, looking back out at the party.
