"Sweetheart.." Klaus soothed trying to shake Briana, who was sleeping soundly in the passenger seat, awake. Briana didn't budge as Klaus pushed on her shoulder slightly.

He sighed contemplating the best way to wake her up that wouldn't result in him biting her head off. He tried again, "Briana, sweetheart." He spoke in a upbeat sing songy tone.

Briana groaned lightly and shifted her weight to her other arm.

Klaus sighed again, closing her eyes, silently praying before raising his voice.

"Briana." He said more sternly and began shaking her awake.

The pregnant werwolf didn't hesitate but rather acted on instinct. As her eyes opened abruptly by Klaus' loud voice, the palm her hand struck his chest. Hard. Harder enough for a thump to echo through the car.

"Ahh" Klaus groaned in pain as Briana rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, "What was that for?"

Briana rolled her eyes, "You know exactly what that was for. I was asleep. Just be glad I didn't aim for the lower region."

Klaus eyes widened slightly as he glanced down at his crotch in realization. He looked back up to her with a dumbfounded expression.

"What? I might want to have more kids some day." Briana shrugged.

"You mean I'll have to go through all this again?" Klaus mumbled slightly frightened under his breath.

"What'd you say?" Briana asked innocently.

"I said I thought you'd like to know that we're here." Klaus smiled innocently covering up his previous, thankfully, unheard statement.

"You only asked 64 times during the duration of our trip." Klaus spoke in a sarcastically optimistic tone.

"64?" Briana questioned unbuckling her seat belt.

"I started counting after the twelfth time." Klaus unbuckled his own seat belt.

"Don't act like you didn't enjoy spending this much quality time with me." Briana smiled as Klaus got out of the car before making his way to the passenger side to open Briana's door.

"Oh yes. It was great fun. You laughed, you cried, you yelled, you made me question my immortality.." Klaus said.

Briana shot him a 'seriously?' look and Klaus immediately shut his mouth knowing what was good for him. Klaus placed a soft kiss to her cheek as she stepped out of the car.

Briana looked at the Salvatore house before her. A wave of emotions immediately flooded over her just by being back in Mystic Falls. The last time she was here, she had promised everyone she would only be gone for a couple of months and then she would be home. Now, not only did she have a new home, she was creating her own family. News she was anxious to share with her closest friends.

"Well." Klaus said extending his hand to Briana who took it.

She huffed, "Lets get this over with." She soft smiled as she and Klaus made their way the door she had entered so many times before. A place she called her home away from home.

"And I heard that smart ass comment by the way."

Klaus sighed throwing his head back knowing he was going to be in trouble for that.

"Luckily for you.. I'm too nervous to tell you how wrong you are." Briana said quietly as they stood just outside the Salvatore residence.

Klaus let out a small chuckle at Briana's behavior. He could sense her nerves by the tone in her voice. Her hand was shaking about to face the people she loved, the people she promised she would come back to, the people she was terrified of disappointing.
