As soon as Damon Salvatore learned the news of what had happened to his best friends daughter, he knew that Briana would be a complete wreck, so it didn't surprise him in the least that she had gone completely off the rails and turned off her humanity. In truth, if she had the means, Damon figured Briana would have turned it off years ago.
It came to no one surprise that immediately after Stefan had told his brother, who had only been back among of the living for a few short hours, about Briana's current state that Damon booked a ticket on the next flight to New Orleans.
He had walked down Bourbon street before the sun had risen that morning.
Klaus had met Damon earlier in the morning before meeting Briana to brief the vampire on his fiancé's latest indiscretions.
"Thank you for coming," Klaus expressed genuinely as the two walked into the Mikaelson compound.
Damon's head was on a swivel taking in the place Briana now called her home.
"Thank you?" Damon questioned playfully as he turned his gaze to Klaus, "She's that bad huh?"
Klaus lead Damon up the stairs, a sigh escaping his lips at his remark. Klaus stopped just outside his bedroom door and turned to Damon with a somber look in his eyes, "See for yourself."
Klaus pushed the door of his shared bedroom open to see Briana digging through their shared closet. She turned to face him at the sound of the door opening, an annoyed expression on her face.
"Ugh," She groaned, "You're back. I was hoping I would have a few more hours of peace."
Klaus shifted uncomfortably at the insult as Briana returned to her closet. He cleared his throat, "I brought you something."
Briana's head snapped his direction with a sly smile on her face full of anticipation.
As Damon Salvatore stepped into the room from behind Klaus, Briana's smile immediately fell. It was like her face had gone completely blank.
"Miss me?" Damon questioned with his signature grin and a tone full of sass.
Briana stood still. He wasn't real. He couldn't be. For all she knew, Damon was dead. This was just another of Klaus' pathetic ploys to get her to make some sort of human connection.
As the silence grew longer, it was finally broken by Briana bursting into uncontrollable laughter.
"What the hell is this?" Briana laughed as she motioned to Damon, "Damon is dead."
Klaus stepped forward, "He's not the first person to come back into our lives this week."
Briana chuckled, "So what are you saying? There was overcrowding in hell? And they just let every sociopathic monster walk free?"
"Sociopathic monster. That's a new one. Even from you." Damon smiled, "I'm flattered." He joked.
Briana scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Don't be. It wasn't a compliment."
"Oh come on, Bri. You know you missed this. The playful banter, my rugged good looks.." Damon stepped towards her with his arms out as his side innocently.
Briana looked him up and down before crossing her arms over her chest, "Damon Salvatore is dead. And some withy hologram isn't going to convince me otherwise."
Before Klaus could speak, Damon had sped towards Briana, grabbing her by the shoulders and slamming her up against the nearest wall with a darkness in his eyes.
"Convinced now?" Damon taunted lowly still firmly holding Briana so she couldn't escape his grip.
Briana scoffed as she tried to push Damon off of her, but the vampire was quicker and slammed her back up against the wall, "I think it's time for one of our little talks."
